Hands down the best Jamaican restaurant in Hinesville.
The food? 10/10. The service? Also 10/10. I’ve tried the jerk, curry, and brown stew—all absolutely delicious. Every visit has been consistent, and that alone sets Irie Nyamminz apart from the rest.
The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the staff are genuinely friendly—always smiling and happy to see you. That kind of hospitality makes a difference, especially when so many other places feel rushed or rude.
Another thing I love is the name itself. “Nyam” means the same thing in Jamaica as it does here in the Gullah-Geechee Corridor—to eat. It’s a perfect reflection of the shared roots between the two cultures and a beautiful reminder of our connection.
I’m glad they chose a name that blends so naturally with this community. Great food, great people, great vibes. This is where I’ll be eating from now on.

I usually order too good to go from them, and every single item I’ve ever gotten from them has been filled to the brim and absolutely delightfully delicious. They always greet me and are kind. They’re one of my favorite places to come to for consistently yummy, quality food. I always get extra gravy and they deliver with the utmost of quality and flavor. I’m always excited to come back and they never disappoint. There’s so much love in the food that they make. The interior of the restaurant is beautiful too and inviting. It’s always clean and the decor is really nice. They’re such a great place to have in Hinesville. I’m glad they’re here and can’t wait to continue being a patron there. They’re that amazing.

Let me tell you about the food…If you want to eat and then lick your fingers and gravy off the plate, this is the spot!!!!…we had fried fish meal and curry chicken. I was just in time for stewed peas day and it was a 10/10 – totally recommended.. If you haven’t visited, this is your sign!!!… I’m definitely going back!!!!!

My mom really didn’t like the food, and I thought it was just okay. There was barely any meat, and half of what was there was mostly fat. The flavor wasn’t anything special either—other spots around here are way better. HOWEVER, the service was absolutely amazing! The lady working was so kind and helpful, and the place itself is beautiful—really pretty inside. That said, I personally won’t be back due to portion size of meat and the taste of the food!
