I live a 1/2 mile from this place and have never been there until a chic I was dating said let’s go here. She knew of the place and said the owner really cares about providing excellent service and great food as his life calling. Good Lord was it tasty! I cannot recommend this place enough. She was right! The owner is happy when you’re happy….you can see it in his smiling face. I’ll be there this weekend

Cafe Gazelle – A True Italian Gem!
Wow — what a fantastic experience at Cafe Gazelle! This place is a cozy, romantic little spot that feels like you’re dining in a small village in Italy. Perfect for a date night or just a special evening out.
We started with the bruschetta and artichokes, and both were fresh, flavorful, and a great way to kick things off. For our mains, we shared the Chicken Parmesan, Chicken Piccata, and the Carbonara Pasta — everything was absolutely delicious, perfectly cooked, and full of classic Italian flavor. You can really tell the kitchen takes pride in what they serve.
And don’t skip dessert — the Limoncello Cake was light, lemony, and the perfect ending.
What really made the night was the service. Our server was amazing — super friendly and attentive without being overbearing. And the two owners were actually present the entire time, helping take orders and personally presenting dishes. You don’t see that kind of care and involvement very often, and it made the experience feel even more personal.
Prices were very reasonable for the quality and atmosphere. I left full, happy, and already planning my next visit.
Highly recommend — this place is a must-try if you love real Italian food with heart!

What a wonderful find in Huntington Beach. Very excellent southern Italian cooking. In a very unattractive strip mall, the ambiance is nothing to talk about, but the food is truly great. The sauces are marvelous. The regular Wine list is lacking, but they do have monthly special wines that are reasonably priced and are quite fine. The staff is quite attentive and gives very good suggestions. We’ve been back several times, and the food and service do not disappoint.

We have been to Caffe Gazelle several times now & it does not disappoint. We get together with friends and walk over. They always go over the top to make sure that we are happy. The food comes out hot and its delicious. I had the Italian sausage with pasta. Everyone at the table was very content. They have been there for approximately 40 years and you can taste why. See you there next time you are in Belmont Shore.

This was probably some of the absolute best Italian food I have ever had, and in my opinion Italian food can often taste the same. Not Cafe Gazelle, their food had amazing flavors we had their shrimp and calamari as appetizers, not fried and extremely fresh. Even the bread comes fresh out of the oven, and goes great with excellent Italian food. I ordered the Michaelangelo which is an Alfredo dish with mushrooms and they fulfilled my request to make it with vegetables. The owner was very attentive and provided incredible food and service.
