Hidden gem if you like spicy mala hot pot. Yes, it is spicy even at the 3 rating out of 5, so be careful when you specify the spicy rating. Also, this is one of a few King County health ratings = Excellent, which I think is impressive given all the raw ingredients are available for everyone to take to build the pot. After you choose the soup or sauce base, you then walk through the ingredient aisle to take whatever you want from veggies to meats. After you pay per weight, you ho back to your table and wait for 5 minutes or so. Then they will bring out to you fully cooked Hotpot on a small stove to keep it hot.

Overall experience was great. Food was great. Too bad the location is not the best otherwise this place will be packed all the time. Compared to Boiling Pot this place delivers a real punch.

You fill a bowl up with the ingredients for your hot pot and pay by the pound. You take it to the register and decide on the hot pot type you want, then flavor.

I got the traditional hot pot (pictured) with a medium spiced level and it was delicious!

My husband got a dry hot pot, the Rose Mala Xiang Guo. He said it was yummy and had good flavor. Definitely spicy even at the most mild spice level.

Would definitely come back next time we are in town!

I’ve been here a few times but never had a chance to write a review because I didn’t have any pictures
On Saturday, I dined in and ordered Mala Spicy #3. I added veggies, seafood, and beef. You can make your own sauce (minced garlic. Chile oil pepper, peanut sauce, cilantro…yummy)
What you see in the picture is only $20 — you pick own vegetables meats seafood… and they weigh it by the pound, and you choose from stir fry or soup. Healthy, delicious, and reasonably priced. Plus, there’s plenty of parking, and the servers are always friendly.

I had a plant based hot pot! So tasty! I got 5* (for heat) and it was just right
I’ll definitely be back. Pick your own toppings (various vegetables, noodles, tofu, mushrooms, and meats), there’s a toppings bar as well. Multiple broths, and many things that aren’t hot pot as well. Also, there’s Soju (rice wine).

This was my first dine-in one day after my pickup order from yesterday. It was a little confusing at first, but I eventually figured out how to make mala tang. The topoki was great, too. Three of us had A LOT, and it was about $100 including a bottle of drink, the tax and a 20% tip. Not bad at all for the portion and the service. If I went to a Chinese hot pot place, the same portion would be more expensive. This is my favorite place for spicy food now.

The malatang was delicious. The numbing spice was good, and the spice level is adjustable. Had an issue with one of the dish we got, but the servers were so good about it and resolved our issue for us. The soup base is delicious, and the ingredients were really fresh as well. Will definitely come back.

I ate here weeks ago and I’m still thinking about it. The style is more Korean and the rose dish reminds me of this Korean stir fry dish I had in Seoul. I normally prefer soup, but the stir fry style here is SO GOOD

Though I can handle spice when eating, the spicy absolutely destroyed me that night. Would definitely go down one next time.

Price was higher than I would’ve wanted to pay. 1 lb minimum is kind of lame. Would consider getting enough food for 2 servings next time since 1 lb of food is too much to eat but not enough to take home.

Went here on a Sunday around noon. Place was nice and clean, and it wasn’t too busy at all.

You scan the menu on the table. If you want to get the “malatang” and it’s variety, either the normal with broth, the dry stir fried, or the black bean sauce style, you will be able to pick out the ingredients that you want for it. They provide a bowl where you can put all the ingredients that you want from all the fish cakes, tofu, meatballs, meat, and veggies. They have a good selection to choose from. You pay by the pound but they have a minimum of 1 pound for one dish.

For kids, they can make a non spicy broth, just let them know that you want no spice at all.

They also serve rice cake dish, rice balls, hot pot, and some fried pork, chicken, or shrimp with some sauce. The creamy shrimp one is good! I’ve not tried the other ones, but they look good.

Plenty of parking on their lot as well

I recommend coming here if you want to be able to customize your malatang bowl and have it made to order. Flavor is good and worth visiting, especially on a cold day where you are craving something soupy and spicy

I recently decided to visit a trendy restaurant that has been popular on Instagram. Initially, I had low expectations for the taste, but I was pleasantly surprised. The variety of fresh ingredients displayed on the shelves was impressive, and the staff were remarkably friendly and well-trained, especially for a newly opened establishment. The clean and neatly arranged interior made me feel satisfied even before the food arrived.

To my delight, the food was outstanding. My husband enjoyed the rich malatang broth, while I loved the rose mala xiang guo, where the creaminess balanced the spiciness perfectly. The thick sauce paired well with the ingredients.

We also ordered the Cream Shrimp Guobaorou as a side dish. Its sweet sauce complemented the spiciness of the other dishes, making it a great option for those who can’t handle too much heat.

I can see myself visiting this restaurant frequently in the future, and I hope they continue to maintain their high standards!

Very interesting, inexpensive and tasty korean hot pot. If you’re in the area I highly recommend stopping here. This style of hot pot really appeals to be Ave my partner (who has ARFID) and want to select exactly what we want to eat. They have vegan options as well, and my vegan friend who tried it says it was good. I’ve taken 6 people here and all of them loved it. Great for a group.
