Have driven by this Fish Shack several times while on Atlantic and finally stopped in to try the fish sandwich , potatoes salad and their sweet potato fries.
The fish sandwich was good. The potato salad was meh for me but my wife enjoyed it. The fries were delicious and would come-back for them.
I do wish the portions were little bigger but maybe it’s just me being a big back. I’ll be back again to see if the quality is consistent.

Hella fire cant believe i overlooked yall In the past. as a first timer I have to say yall Catfish & tilapia is very good! The tilapia wasnt crispy but its ok but the catfish though , Crispy and delicious! Whatever batter yall use please dont change it !! I’ll definitely order more again !!

1st time visiting, I got the shrimp and fish plate . The red snapper was a little to tough to eat around the edges. Probably because it was cut too thin but flavor was good and not too fishy. The shrimp was amazing! Well seasoned and crunchy. The fries were your average burger joint fries. Nothing wrong with that. The mac salad was bland only tasted mayo and tuna. No seasoning. Visibly not good. Overall, good 7/10 good option for Lent. When you visit, definitely get the shrimp!

Let me start off by saying whatever fish fry mix they use, it is a really really good one. The taste of the fish was absolutely amazing!!! I ordered two pieces of catfish and 5 medium shrimp à La carte for a really affordable price. The whole meal is not shown in the picture I posted because I demolished half of it before getting a chance to capture it. But with that being said, I will for sure be back to try some of the other items. I’m super excited to see that they have fried okra! The lady who took my order on the phone was extremely friendly, you could tell that she loves her job. I believe her name is Teresa R. since that is the name that is on the receipt. I’m so happy I was in Long Beach when having a taste for some fried seafood.

Called before I came and asked how many fish came with the combo. He answered that 5 did and I said, wow that’s a lot. Well, it turns out only 2 come in the combo which is fine because for that amount I paid that’s a fair amount which is $5 more than previous fish place and one piece of fish less. However, this place is not the place that used to be there, and the fish is definitely not the same. They need to find the cook and go back over the process. I asked for red snapper but got two huge pieces of thick, greasy, fried fish. Really did not look like snapper to me! Anyway, the key to a good fried fish is NOT being super greasy. Either they didn’t let it drain enough, or the process results in very greasy fish. The fried shrimp was ok… probably because it’s smaller and cooks faster. It’s not fair to judge them based on the previous place there, but that what happens when you open a fish restaurant where a really good fish restaurant was before that. They need to find the old restaurant’s cook urgently. Hushpuppies were the only thing really good. Definitely not going back.

Food is fresh, made to order. Wait time was about 10 -15 mins but worth it to have fresh fried food. We tried the red snapper, tilapia and catfish.. with fries and coleslaw as the side.All delish The only thing I would like is for the coleslaw to be a bit bigger because it was also good. The menu is small but has everything you need.
