Everything here cost $54. The naan was good although I would have loved more garlic. The lamb biryani was medium spiced and had a beautiful flavor, it just needed a few more pieces of lamb to make it worth the price. There was 8 pieces in the tikka shrimp and it came with rice. The samosas were spot on as well as the sauces. I will come back and try more dishes.

Outstanding food, hence the 5 stars! Tried the Chicken Chili, Tandoor Chicken, Chicken MoMo’s, Garlic Naan, rice and a side of Raita sauce. Be aware that the entree doesn’t come with Naan or Rice. You must order that separately. The Chicken MoMo comes with a yellow sauce that has a strong spice! Added a side of Raita sauce and it cooled it off nicely though. Overall, would return. Likely to get takeout though. It’s a small restaurant, not many tables and not in the greatest location. Service was pretty slow – another reason I’d say takeout may be the route we choose for next time. Nonetheless, complements to the chef. So tasty!

A quaint little restaurant right off parallel parkway. This family owned location has fantastic service and the food is freshly prepped and cooked daily. It’s a two man show in the kitchen and you can definitely tell that the food is made with love! If you’re looking to try something new or something homey, this is the place to go!

Firstly, they did a really good job with the renovations. It’s so cute and the Indian/Nepali/Hmong music is a nice touch.
Customer service is great, I have absolutely no complaints.
Now to the food, we tried a little bit of everything and it was all soooo good!! There were a couple items we wanted that were sold out because they make everything fresh daily, but I cannot be mad at that. You can tell they really care about the food they serve. Will be returning to try more!

A surprisingly great find going east on Parallel Parkway.

This bright, yet small space in a strip mall serves up some delicious food.

The young man who waited on us was gracious and detail oriented. Something that’s really lacking in service nowadays.

We ordered 2 appetizers and 2 curries and we eagerly reorder 3 of the 4.

Lunch and dinner hours Tuesday through Saturday, dinner hours Sunday, closed Monday.

Off the beaten path, but certainly worth the visit!

I just came from the Himalayas a few weeks ago. I like to think I know what good Asian food is.

I got the Tarka Dal. $11 and the garlic cilantro naan $3.75 for a basket— and it is DELICIOUS.

great quality food, service, and atmosphere. And movies playing in Hindi, with English subtitles, which I appreciate. I’ll come back!

I’m so glad we have a Nepali Indian restaurant in our area! The food here is amazing, big portions and amazing customer service. This our second time going back and won’t be the last.

We originally got the Vegetable samosa and butter chicken. Which are also filling dishes but definitely try the mango chicken curry with spice!

Hey everyone! If you’re looking for authentic Nepali food in Kansas City, Jyoti Kitchen is the place to go! As a Nepali, I can confidently say this is the only restaurant in the area that truly captures the flavors of Nepal.

The food here is absolutely delicious and made with so much care. What I love most is that everything is prepared fresh—nothing is pre-made or rushed. You can taste the authenticity in every bite, from the aromatic spices to the perfectly cooked dishes.

Just a heads-up: they are a bit slow, but it’s only because they prioritize quality and freshness. It’s not fast food like McDonald’s; it’s a labor of love, and the wait is totally worth it. So, if you’re planning to visit, please be patient and understand that good food takes time.

Support local businesses, especially ones like Jyoti Kitchen that are keeping Nepali cuisine alive in Kansas City. You won’t regret it!
