The design of the building is neat, however everything else was disappointing from there.
“Tableside Guac” was just guacamole delivered to your table, tasting as if it had no soul. It also didn’t appear to have any onions in it, although it still needed sometype of seasonings beyond that and lime. Our server was sweet but I think she just says whatever you want to hear. We asked if the fajita combo with Chicken + Steak came with more meat overall because we wanted to split it, and the price made it seem that way. (Since Chicken was 22 and steak was 23 ish, it made sense both meats for 27 may be for 2 people, but I asked anyway. In which case we were informed yes. That was not the case, as when our other guests steak fajita arrived it was apparent they had the same amount of meat as us, just all steak.
We also got the Churro Cart and were told by her that it would have berries in it, to which it did not. When we asked her she confirmed she said it would and when informed ours didn’t (we were eating it anyway you can always just bring a side of berries if needed) her response was “Well you liked it though right?” And similar statements. The tiny ball of icecream in the cart was also missleading compared to the image on the menu. We had our guac, chips, and some dinner plates still on the table once the dessert arrived as well which made it feel extremely crowded. The chicken from the fajita did not taste bad and the pineapple was nice. However I feel their menu is missleading in some of the descriptions, the customer service could be improved, and the overall quality to price does not seem worth it at all.
$90 for 3 people. With an Appetizer, 2 dinners (2 people split the fajita) 2 fountain drinks and a water.

Most people post photos of the beautiful food they’re about to eat, but I enjoyed it so much. Ate all my three tacos. As a Mexican American really appreciate good quality food and this restaurant nailed it.

I had three tacos, two fish and one steak asada. And all of them were cooked perfectly and seasoned well.

Beans were served in a corn tortilla shell (not shown because I ate it) :-). Their yellow rice reminded me of the way my mom cooks it and she is from Mexico.

Highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants authentic quality Mexican food

The food was fantastic! It was a little bit expensive, but if you compare it to something like Casa Amigos (also delicious), Kactus has a much more authentic Mexican menu, so I can understand the cost difference. They have several options and varieties of options that local “American-Mexican” restaurants do not have. Overall it was a great experience! We celebrated my son’s 13th birthday there and left with full tummies. ❤️

Very underrated restaurant!

**I HIGHLY RECOMMEND**

Food, Service, drinks, appetizers were all top notch. We’ve been to other Mexican restaurants and their food was meh. This was very fresh and the taste was 10/10!
Ill definitely be back!

The food, services, and margaritas are great, but the bar section needs improvement. The lighting is too bright and resembles an office or hospital, which doesn’t create a relaxing atmosphere. I recommend bringing warm lighting to create a more inviting ambiance.
Also you guys need to look into the prices this isn’t located in the Tradition neighborhood

Great place. Haven’t been here in about a year but beautiful inside, can definitely see this in Austin, Houston, Dallas. Food we ordered needed a bit more seasoning, they were a bit bland also there was a lack of salt in the salsa, chips were stale and the spicer salsa had way too much salt. As a Texan I would say it’s a place I would recommend just for the vibe, drinks and dessert, as we loved their churros and great staff. The waitstaff seems new so they are still learning, they are friendly and made the effort to get it right. Haven’t tried all the food but glad to see the menu was pared down compared to the old one. Will try again but will try something different next time.

Well well well look who we have here! A NEW Mexican restaurant and let me tell you folks, it will not disappoint! We have had a serious challenge finding a good Mexican place in Port Saint Lucie that has good vibes and we have found it in Kactus.

We moved here almost two years ago from California, I’m a native born and raised in San Francisco where we are more than familiar with the flavors of Mexico. My godmother was Mexican and a daily holy mass attendee and to say her food was blessed is an understatement! No one to this day can make frijoles a la olla like her! Or her chorizo con huevos y tortillas de maíz!!

Someone here reviewed Kactus not long ago and we had to try! Both hubby and I loved it from “hello” we are impressed with the ambience and the attention to detail everywhere. The service is great and not overly abundant meaning they let you enjoy your food and not interject every 5 minutes asking how everything is. Prices are more than fair but bring cash and save a little more! We love the modern vibes that complement traditional well-plated meals.

We had the Jamaica (always ask for agua frescas with no ice and a separate glass of ice), you’ll see how easy it is to have 2 for 1, these drinks aren’t cheap but worth it at $9.50. We order the lunch plate (before 3pm), of shrimp fajitas with fresh corn tortillas and guacamole. All tasteful and the dishes are plated lovely.

Delicious and yes we are coming back. It’s trendy yes but they are very close to tradition as far as flavors (which I grew up on with Mexican food). Other dishes we will be trying are the arroz con pollo, ceviche de pescado and the Caribbean Lechon (not Mexican but hey I’m Cuban )…. so many beautiful things on this menu and their bar is the BOMB!!! Go check them out!

Kactus in Port St. Lucie — New Spot Alert!
Swampy, Vic, and Veronica wandered over to the brand-new Kactus here in Port St. Lucie… and let’s just say we left doing the Mexican-food happy dance.

From the sizzling plates to the ice-cold margaritas (yes… Swampy insisted on trying two for “research purposes”), everything hit the spot. Flavor?
Vibes?
Service?

And you know what that means…
Swampy slapped down a full 5 Tails Up on this one! ✨✨✨✨✨

If you’re craving Mexican cuisine with some personality, this is your sign to go check out Kactus.
Your taste buds will thank you later.

Was very excited to try this restaurant and then so very disappointed when we got our food. We went for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. The restaurant is clean and has a great atmosphere. The service was really good as well. However, the food was very bland and over priced. The salsa was super watery and had no flavor. The steak asada in both the tacos and the burrito was very little and very fatty. The burrito didn’t include sour cream and it was an extra $2 for sour cream! They use no seasonings and not a jalapeño in sight!
$60 for lunch for 2 people (with no alcohol and only one soda) is a lot when the food is lack luster.
