I recently visited PJ’s Coffee and had an excellent experience, largely thanks to the amazing cashier, Cohen. I ordered three beignets but mentioned that my last order was disappointingly oily. Cohen immediately took ownership, assured me they had just changed the fryer oil and thoroughly cleaned the fryers, and guaranteed this batch would be better. He was absolutely correct! The beignets were perfectly fried, had just the right amount of powdered sugar, and were delicious. Cohen’s proactive customer service and attention to quality were truly exceptional. His positive attitude and helpfulness make me want to return specifically to see him and, of course, enjoy the great treats.

BEST COFFEE EVER on a real note I’ve been drinking coffee from here since I moved here in August I’m moving again soon and will definitely miss this coffee shop. This is the only picture I have of their coffee my boyfriend had the barista write this on the cup

He got the red bull infusion added mango and he got me an iced latte with sweet cold foam and pumpkin sauce my usual order

Out of the current 3 locations in the Maryland side of the DMV, this is the only one with a drive thru. So I love the convenience of that because with little people ages 5 and under, it’s a lot of work getting them in and out of car seats in cold weather. It’s consistent for taste. I haven’t been inside of this location yet, as I typically go to the one in Bowie in Fairwood I think it’s called and work there. But the customer service is great. They offer recommendations and help navigate you toward a choice you’ll like. As someone who isn’t a fan of coffee but loves the various seasonal drinks. It’s very new customer friendly. If I was to compare to Starbucks, PJs doesn’t assume you know the lingo to order or that you know the drinks they make. You always see the full menu of standard and seasonal drinks. But it is your traditional coffee shop in that there is no ingredient list for the menu items, so you’ll want the app so that you know what options you have for preferred changes and alternative options. And, of course, the beignets, which aren’t available at any of the NOLA locations, are awesome. The Cuban sandwich is also good…. café/ coffee shop good.

I walked into the place, and it was empty. No line, yay! I love love love love their drinks. For years, I had to travel to the Bowie, MD location, which isn’t bad, but I’m estatic that it’s now in Camp Springs, MD. I love the location, that they have a drive-thru and how clean and organized the store is. I love their Beignets as well. The service was absolutely stellar and now that they are in a location I’m familiar with I will definitely make frequent trips.
I normally get Iced and hot Coffees, their hot hot chocolate and the Velvet Vanilla Ice which is one of my favorite drinks from them. Today I chose different. I ordered a Large Caramel Granita and a medium Ice Mocha Latte for my sister. The drinks are super delicious. Worth going to, the drinks are delicious and I do like the desserts, bagels and their sandwiches.

I periodically stop here in the morning for a cinnamon raisin bagel, and they’re usually pretty good. Unfortunately, this morning was a disappointment. The bagel I was first served was so old and hard that I couldn’t even bite into it. I went back to have it replaced, but the new bagel I received wasn’t toasted at all and was ice cold on the inside. Overall, it was a frustrating experience and not what I expect based on prior visits.

I was visiting WMATA’s Branch Ave Rail yard this morning and wanted to grab a hot drink before heading into meetings. This coffee shop was conveniently located right across the street. The ladies working there were super helpful and friendly. They quickly took my order, prepared my drink, and off I went. A great way to start the day. Thank you!

I was so delighted when I heard we were getting a coffee shop in the area! We are blessed to have it however, my experience is a mixed bag at best. The flavor is fantastic. I’ve been there at least 4-5 times now and each drink I’ve ordered has tasted well. My last visit my drinks were FULL of ice and very little drink! I remembered this from last time so when I ordered, I asked the lady for very little ice, she seemed fine with my request, but when I watched the guy making my drink I noticed he had my cup and my son’s cup COMPLETELY filled with ice, to the very top of the cup. I asked him to give my less ice and more drink. That is where the attitude kinda came in. He poured out approximately two ice cubes and I asked for less ice again… I’m ordering and extra large drink, I don’t want extra large ice! Almost $18 for two drinks and I’m getting two cups of ICE, with a side of attitude because I feel I’m being ripped off! I would love to give it 5 stars and continue to shop there, but for almost $18 for my son and I to have a cup of flavored ice, I cannot subscribe! Very tasty but 3 sips of an extra large and a $18 bill, I’ll go were I can get a drink and not get a cup of ice!

Easy enough to order from as far as the menu goes–but getting the right coffee order from the window, maybe not so much. The drinks and food were great but I did not get the coffee I requested to include attitude I didn’t ask for. Service issue, I’m sure most people received a different experience but it was a difficult first impression for me.

I’ve been to this location a couple of times and the beignets never disappoint! What did “disappoint,” however, was the fact that they charged me for a pup cup the last visit. I’m not sure if this is something new or if I was fortunate the first few visits.

It seems fair that if a customer is buying items from the menu, a dollop of whipped cream for her pup isn’t too much to ask. I could’ve bought half a container for the price charged.

In any case, if they decide to charge or not charge, consistency and transparency are key in retaining customers.

Came for the bignè. Definitely corporate. Very very hot with a LOT of powder sugar. Uncooked inside. We were in the area and felt like trying them. 6 small ones for $11+. If you are in Arlington go there for bignè. THE best.
