Me and my family love this place for our weekend lunch. The view of the river with the soundtrack of the water is unmatched. The food is exactly what you want for a small town grill. Burgers, sandwiches, fish, chicken salad, everything has been great to eat! My favorite is the stringer sandwich. Service is friendly and always willing to help give a hand or refill a drink.

Don’t everyone come up here and crowd my lunch spot and my old college town lol. Just come during the week.

We ate here for the first time and loved it. Great burgers and fries! It was so nice eating while sitting on the deck enjoying the beautiful day hearing the sounds of the river flowing by. We will stop by here again next time we are in the area.

Love the location… but the food is… well, not good.
The burger appeared to be juicy, when it was finally brought out, however it was overcooked, very dry and like a piece of leather. The juice in the basket appeared to be coming from the lettuce and tomato that seemed to have been in water for a while. Not sure, but they did not appear to be fresh. The bun was sitting in this water/juice.
I had bacon (this was good) but I could not eat the burger…
The onion rings were inedible. They were cooked so long, that the onion had dried up inside the “tooth bustingly” hard coating. Sort of like onion fossils?
They were an imprint of an onion in a rock… I could not eat them. They were just short of burned.
Loaded potato salad was tasteless, and there did not appear to be anything loaded in it.
My wife ordered a flounder fish sandwich and fried pickles. The fish was hard (overcooked) and dry. The pickles were also overcooked and hard.
Overall it was not worth the $40 we paid to enjoy the view.
Topper was the waitress who came over and asked to clear away the uneaten food.
She did ask me if I had not enjoyed the meal. I told her”no, sorry. I did not”
She simply took the food and left….
We will not be coming back

The food is so delicious! The service is amazing! The restaurant is one of the cleanest restaurants I’ve ever visited. And the view of the river puts it over the top. I HIGHLY recommend. I will visit again every time I come to Dahlonega!

Ok, let me start by saying this may seem like a harsh review. However, I will visit again in the future and amend this review if I see improvement. I understand this is a new place. I’ll start by listing the things I loved. The outdoor seating overlooking the river was beautiful! The menu wasn’t overwhelming, love that! The ground beef is locally grown and processed, fantastic! This was a huge selling point for us. There was a family of 5 in front of us and maybe 4 tables sitting. My husband and I ordered 2 burgers, fries, and drink. We spent around $40 with tips. We waited over 45 minutes on our dine in order. The bathrooms were dirty. As were the tables. No one cleaned anything in the almost 2 hours we were there. The meal was very hearty, but the burger was totally bland aside from condiments. I was disappointed after hearing “best hamburger” in town, but I will give it another shot in a few months.

All was good and clean restrooms and restaurant. The water view was great. I believe the onion rings should be more thicker with onion. Great place to eat.

If you are looking for a good burger and fries in the Dahlonega area this is your place. I had a single burger and fries. The fries are some of the best I’ve ever had. The view of the river from the restaurant is quite nice also.

What a fun restaurant to visit. The mill was rebuilt and is a beautiful accessory to watch. We took pictures on the bridge that was rebuilt by the owner of the restaurant. It’s just gorgeous. I had The Reuben sandwich with fries. It was phenomenal. There was a “secret” sauce that added to the flavors & made this the best Reuben I’ve ever had & I’ve had many! The rye bread was even perfect. If you want the perfect French fries then this is where to get that lol. Very friendly staff who were beyond attentive. Loved the friendly family atmosphere here. We will definitely come back!!
