At our Nashville, TN location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

The cashier in the drive thru was nice.The wait time was a bit too long. I have been to this location in the past and waited less time. I also ordered a baked potato with cheese and chives no bacon. I was given a plain baked potato. Unfortunately i did not have time to go back and have it corrected.These small issues may have been due to a lack of staffing i’m not sure. But any other times that i have visited this particular location the service has been great.

Review based on food only – which was absolutely horrible! “Grilled?” More likely microwaved. That’s the only way I can imagine they could make shrimp and fish taste like this? It took 15 minutes to get it, so I can only assume it was cooked to order. But I have never eaten seafood this devoid of flavor or any remaining moisture. Stick to dip-frying, guys.

Elizabeth, who works at The captain D’s in Nashville on Nolensville Road is probably one of the hardest workers I’ve ever seen.. No matter how busy she is working both drive-through and taking in-store orders during a busy lunch rush , she did a thorough job of asking if customers would like anything else or Offer promotional specials. She is very efficient at both multi-stacking without missing a beat. I would hire this person in a heartbeat. She did a great enough job for me to take notice and fill out a review. Folks like her add to the wonderful experience customers enjoy at this Captain D’s.

I currently live in Colorado, unfortunately they don’t have Captain D’s there. I remember going to Captain D’s often as a kid growing up in Nashville. While visiting family a few weeks back I stopped by this Captain D’s. The food was great and brought back memories. Only complaint I have is I waited 25 minutes in the drive thru. But food was fresh so I can’t really complain.

Ordered through Uber Eats. Missing two items and got the drink wrong. Fish was way too salty and within 15 minutes of eating my stomach started hurting. I’ve had Captain D’s before, usually pretty good. But this location is worrisome.

I ordered a 3 piece fish meal and had it delivered. I DID NOT get what I ordered. I got one piece of fish and two pieces of chicken. No slaw! Not a happy camper at all! I’m in town for business and was really looking forward to Captain D’s which i hadn’t had in a very long time since they aren’t in my state.
