This place is the whole in the wall that everyone should know about. The food is BUSSIN! the serve it two ways. A la carte and Deli style ready to serve… comes in super handy when you have to move on the fly. All in all I give this place a 5.5/5 that extra .5 is for the cleanliness which was also on point.

Went to the Taste of North Rockland fundraiser and was able to enjoy Liona’s Dominican food located in Haverstraw NY and it was delicious. So I stopped by this evening to pick up dinner and again it was delicious . Everyone was so nice there too. Can’t wait to go again

So disappointed in the food.. we ordered white rice, beans, porkchops, fried plantains, salad, chicken and beans..the only thing that was fresh was the salad.. the chicken was hard and cold the pork chops wasn’t even real pork chops …plantains tasted like they were fried this morning… the beans were actually good… but I was so disappointed …never again ….

We went there for lunch and ordered red snapper fish w/rice and beans. My friend paid and we left, but when I got home I asked him how much he paid so I could give him half. To my surprise, it was $81 for two fishes w/rice and beans. The next day I went back and spoke with the owner, Frances, about the bill, but he couldn’t explain to me what exactly we paid for. I wanted an itemized bill, but he couldn’t provide it. I looked at the online menu and it says the red snapper fish is $25, but they charged us more and he claims you pay for the fish by size. That isn’t listed online, so if we bought the fish via doordash, then it would have been cheaper.
When we ordered, we were never informed of the fish is priced per size. This is exactly when we house have been informed because we could have determined what size of fish we would want. On top of that, they couldn’t explain the other extra costs that brought the cost to $81.
I believe the waitress just saw two gringos and thought she could overcharge us. I try to support the local community, but will no longer support this restaurant after these actions. The owner, Frances, offered me a lunch special, but that doesn’t make up for the improper process of ordering and the overcharge. Plus, the waitress lied and said she told us the fish price before hand, that wasn’t the case because I would have stated that I don’t want your biggest and most expensive fish.
I felt bad for my friend since he paid and I had told him about the restaurant and his first and last experience with it was terrible.

Great Dominican food, great service and great people. Our go to spot for Dominican food in Haverstraw. Their food is not salty, or overly seasoned, it’s just right!

Went with my friend and my little granddaughter to eat mofongo with chicharron. Was charged $85.00!!! What a rip off!! The waitress was not even attentive and they don’t even give you a piece of bread while you waiting for the food!!! Do not go here!!!
