I was the only customer, no others in line or in the building. I waited patiently while the two young males bickered over who was going to come take my order. I ordered one item, a blizzard, and waited nearly 20 minutes for it to be made. In case a dairy queen exec stumbles across this…no they didn’t turn it upside-down when serving it to me. Instead someone from the back roughly set it on a counter in a very dirty cup and walked away. There was no ink in the receipt printer. The girl who’s attention I was finally able to get was bothered when I asked her for a clean cup to put around it, she stated “can’t you just put a napkins around it?” I responded, no I cannot. I have a very long drive and don’t want sticky hands while driving. She was visibly displeased, sighed and went and got an extremely large cup and dropped the dirty one into it. When I looked at my order, there was barely any candy in it, and I actually paid extra for extra. (I get dairy queen once every few years as a treat, so figured why not splurge on extra candy lol)
Perhaps they thought I was paying extra to get a half serving
I decided in that moment that it simply was not worth complaining and there did not appear to be a manager on shift anyway. So left and am immediately writing this review. Never have I been so disappointed when trying to just snag a quick junk food treat. And it’s definitely made me rethink my already rare dairy queen trips. So I guess my pennies won’t be missed by any stretch…but hopefully this review gets some traction so that folks who enjoy going regularly will get better service and better ice cream when they come in.

The service was great and might I say young men who took my order and made our blizzards did an excellent job and they were very polite. The chicken. I think the bearded man on the grill was coughing on food.

Put in a delivery order.
Got a big chicken finger basket, and fries.
Got a small soda on the side.
They were out of chicken fingers. It happens. Just cancel the order, right?
They ONLY cancelled the chicken fingers and fries. And attempted to send me a small soda. Instead of sending the whole order.
WHAT!? They tried to send me a small soda ($2?) and charge me for the soda, the tip, the delivery charge, and the service fee.
Never again. Thanks.

Ordered cheese burger and fries. Fries were so salty I couldn’t even eat them.. burger looked good but the whole burger box on inside was filled with melted cheese so much that when I went to pick my burger up the burger was stuck to the cheese and bottom of box . Burger cant even be picked up with out it ripping and falling apart. When people dont care about their job it shows and this DQ has been slowly getting worse

Worst restaurant in Weaverville. I’m truly shocked they are still open. The staff is very immature and unprofessional. We sat in the drive thru for almost 10 minutes on 12/23 30 minutes before closing. No one answered the drive thru. No other customers in the drive thru or in the restaurant. Pulled around and there were at least 4 employees laughing and giggling at the drive thru window. My husband went in and was told they didn’t have the December special blizzard… This is the 4th time we have experienced a similar experience at this location. Our daughter loves the blizzards. We will never stop at this location again.

DO NOT DO BUSINESS HERE. I have been here many times and each time is a disappointment. Went here Nov 11, 2025 at 1053am, door was locked. Went through the C-store side, went in, and no one was at the order counter. Three young workers in back looking at phones. They did not know the front door was locked. I asked for the Veterans day offer from DQ. They did not know what I was talking about. No service. Would not give the Veteran’s Day deal. Very poor store. In the past, I could not scan anything from the app.

They NEVER EVER have ranch dressing when I order. Winter summer spring fall they’re ALWAYS usually out of ranch. I know its house made. At this point I just dont think they want to make it. They have the best ranch but there’s always some sort of excuse why there’s none at this particular restaurant.

food was pretty good we got Burgers and cheese curds and onion rings for our meal. The ice cream maker was on the fritz so we settled for soda. The Pepsi was spitting out almost pure syrup so that was off the list as well. overall a disappointment.

Wouldn’t be so bad if the management would respond with an actual response. There’s a robot replying to all reviews with a generic link. They will NOT fix your bad experience. Had to get on the phone to get my money back.
