Social Profile:

Nestled in the Northland of Kansas City, Coi Nguon Origin Coffeehouse pays homage to the Vietnamese coffee tradition. We use honey Robusta beans grown by Vietnamese farmer in Lam Dong for each handcrafted cup, meticulously brewed using a phin filter. Our goal is to echo the essence of Central Vietnam’s vibrant coffee culture. For some we hope our space can bring a sense of nostalgia to a faraway homeland, for others perhaps a new adventure in coffee and culture. Either ways – come share your stories with us and allowed us to share our heritage with you.

The salt egg coffee is insanely delicious. Very decadent and the strong Vietnamese coffee is well balanced with the sweetness from the condense milk. Don’t recommend the sweet treats, they fried sesame balls stuffed with bean paste tasted funky. Will be back to try more lattes!

I love the vibe at Vitamees Coffee! The staff is super friendly, and the space is fun and cozy with cute little toys, my 5-year-old daughter was amazed and didn’t want to leave.

I do hope the bakery improves though. The sesame balls have been burnt on one side and extra crunchy each time, and the pastries are a bit dry. Still a great spot for coffee and atmosphere!

Cozy little place that serves great tasting Vietnamese style coffee and other drinks! I spent a weekend in KCMO and went here twice just try more drinks they have!

They display local Vietnamese artists’ work in the cafe. Please do take a look at their work!

⚠️ They do get a rush of customers, so you will have to be patient. Seating is okay. This place is more of a takeout or quick chat, rather than sit and study cafe.

Note: sometimes they don’t serve a certain drink yet (like the corn milk one) or they run out of the ingredient so you’ll have to opt for something else or try again.

Hands down the best Authentic Vietnamese coffee in kc. They weren’t kidding about Vietnamese coffee being strong, definitely recommend if you’re an avid coffee drinker. There are also a couple caffeine-free options for those who can’t handle caffeine!

It was my first time trying Vietnamese coffee and it was very good! The barista was very kind and helpful with suggestions when I told them that I have never been here before. The ambiance is very chill and I found a new song (“Back to Mars (Live in LA)” by beabadoobee) I like because of the playlist they were playing. I’ll definitely be back!

What did we order:
– Vietnamese Latte with oat milk and syrup.
– Salted Midnight Cocoa (Vietnamese hot chocolate topped with salted foam)

Yea another Vietnamese coffee place!!! @origin_coinguon options and flavors are just like the ones I had in Vietnam. I got the salted coffee this time, but will be back for the rest of the menu.
Service is kind and they will answer any and all questions you have.
This is worth the drive to the Northland.

Love love love this place! The coffee is strong and tastes like you are in Vietnam. I got the coconut coffee and it is blended. It was great on a warm morning. Also they serve pastries from Sour Rabbit. I have not been there yet but after trying the cheddar, jalapeño, bacon scone I will be going.
I went with a friend who can’t do lactose, and they have coconut condensed milk. The flavor of her traditional coffee was great.

I was craving for iced Vietnamese coffee and Coi Nguon Coffeehouse definitely delivered it. Their coffee is sourced from Lam Dong, VN. It smelled so so good the moment I walked through the door. I ordered the egg coffee, salt coffee, coconut coffee, yogurt coffee, traditional coffee and crushed avocado. My favorite was the egg coffee. Crush avocado was kinda sweet to my liking. Service was fast and friendly. Great place to grab an authentic Viet coffee and support local woman owned business .

I’ve been so excited to try this new spot for Vietnamese coffee in the northland, and it is so worth the visit. The coffee was delicious, and it’s a beautiful shop. It’s a great spot to get some coffee and do some work. Angel was so nice and helpful that was working. Check it out!

I stopped by to get a coffee and a snack and I was impressed by the variety and uniqueness of the menu. I got a taro coffee, red bean cake, and pandan mini bundt. The coffee was smooth and powerful, and I think they used real taro and not just flavoring. The sweets were buttery and tasted like real sugar and eggs. I’m pretty sure it was all made in-house.

Great coffee, fantastic service, and a beautifully decorated space. I’ll definitely be back!

Updating my review: we did come back and the barista (owner maybe?) remembered us and our orders, down to the kind of milk we both liked in our drinks. Origin Coi Nguon is a great coffee shop and a wonderful addition to the Northland.
