Went two days in a row, and the food was consistently well made, and tasted amazing. There was a wonderful flavor profile in the curry, jerk had just right amount of spice, and brown stew sauce was savory. The Nice lady who answers the phone is always polite and repeats everything back to you. Definitely recommend if you want good Jamaican and Caribbean food. And the prices compared to others is affordable and good size portions. These were small platters Curry Goat n Brown Stew Chicken

This is my third time grabbing carry out and it’s always SO good! The food is fresh! The food is alwayyysss fresh!!! The curry does not taste as if it was sitting all day and you can find the same freshness with the oxtail and stew chicken as well. As you can see from this pic the string beans are definitely freshly picked and not caked with a whole bunch of unnecessary garlic salt. The flavor of the curry is flavorful and the spicy/heat is just right. The ladies ask if you would like light, medium, or heavy gravy once you are ready for pick up which I truly appreciate. The staff is SUPER friendly. (Medium gravy with a large curry chicken and 2 sides is what’s pictured here) After three visits, I can honestly say this is much better than Golden Krust and Tasha’s. Mi belly nah run me either so that’s also a plus
I recommend calling beforehand and it is cash only. If you forget to grab cash there is a Wells Fargo Bank right in front of the shop. You can park either on the side street or right in front of the store with ease.

I got curry shrimp, sweet potatoes and string beans. Curry didn’t taste like curry but wasn’t nasty, sweet potatoes are the bomb and the string beans not worth a damn. Very disappointed. Taste like American food and like they didn’t want to open today lol cornbread idk what it’s suppose to be like for Jamaican cornbread but jo flavor and dry

I have to be honest, the food was abysmal. I don’t like being negative, and this was only my personal experience.

Judging by the 4.4 star rating, it could’ve just been an off-day for the restaurant

Pros:
The customer service was great and they were very friendly.

The jerk chicken was pretty good

Cons: the stewed chicken had 0 flavor. The max and cheese had very little cheese/little flavor (see picture below). The plantain was VERY chewy (almost leathery) and had no salt or sweetness

Caribbean food is so hard to find made well in this area — to no surprise given how far away the Caribbean is. This is the first Caribbean restaurant which I enjoyed, and I’ve tried most in the state I’d wager. It’s homemade soul food that can be healthy (if you select the right sides ). Pricing and value is outstanding. Unfortunately, Baltimore doesn’t lend itself to the best atmosphere though, but what are you going to do .

If I carried cash with me more often I would be in here everyday. I haven’t visited in a few years but had cash on me today and decided to stop by. Their food is still so good and fresh and the service is phenomenal. If you want authentic Caribbean food at an affordable price, look no further!
