The soup was overly sweet to the point that it was like a bowl of sugar water. The broth was rich, the onions were cooked well but the sweetness of the broth to a typical onion soup was overwhelming.
The burger is substantial. The beef was cooked well. It was not served on a brioche bun as advertised on the menu but on a plain, white bun (good quality though). Good quality, tomato and lettuce toppings were a good addition. The fries were good, but the portion size on the smaller side.
I’ve attached photos. Like I always do, I try to keep my business local, try new places. A decent meal for the price, because frankly a fast food meal would have cost me the same or more and I’d rather patronize local restaurants and keep it local.
They have an extensive menu on DoorDash. But, the soup was a bit of a disappointment.
Enjoy!
On our second visit, the waiter’s attitude was extremely rude from the start. He kept us waiting, took our order incorrectly twice, and even served food items I’m allergic to. A burger came with the wrong ingredients, and a pizza order was doubled without us asking. His behavior was unprofessional, and he was openly making comments with other guests about us, which was very uncomfortable.
On our last visit, we went around 10 PM just for a drink. The place was listed as open until 11 PM, but the same waiter told us we are closing, clearly just not wanting to serve us. After speaking with the hotel manager, we were accommodated, but again the same unpleasant behavior continued. Other guests were looking at us strangely, as if influenced by the staff.
This kind of treatment is unacceptable. We truly don’t understand what we did wrong to deserve this. Very disappointing experience, and I would not recommend this place.
It was unclear from the beginning the etiquette to either wait to be seated or just sit anywhere you wanted. No one at the bar seemed to care. Wait staff didn’t seem to know how to even work tables. Our waitress didn’t seem to know right from left. And after taking our order, they left the menus on the table for the entire evening (and yes they were reusing them).
Ordered an appetizer and main meals. A couple received their food before us when they had sat down after us. They ordered the same appetizer as we did. So possibly a mistake there (or our waitress didn’t put in our order). Then all our food came out at once. The wings? Meh. They are pieces of chicken breast that are “fried” and covered in hot sauce. Not really worth it. I ordered the burnt ends sandwich with fried onions on top. You can see the remnants of a poor sandwich in the picture. The bread and onions were stale. Outside of roll was hard. Onions were blergh. The meat probably tasted good because of the BBQ sauce they threw on there. Sadly, the fries were the only saving Grace to the meal.
