Tips From A Bellman
Whenever I visit the South I always have to hit Hardee’s a couple times for breakfast. I was driving from Oklahoma to South Carolina and stopped at this truck stop and there it was Hardee’s. Only 2 people ahead of me when I ordered and then it got busy after I ordered.
The older gentleman took my order , Steak Biscuit and Apple Pie for an extra $1.00. I waited as others got their order and he said we were waiting on my steak. He finally calls me for my order and I checked the bag and it’s a Frisco Breakfast Sandwich and no Apple Pie. So I told him he gave me the wrong order. I waited again , he calls my name again and again it’s someone else’s food ! A full bag of food and the truck driver that it belonged to got kind of mad that I got his bag and or waiting a while for his order like me.
I told the older gentleman I still haven’t gotten my Steak Biscuit and Apple Pie ! You could tell he was getting frustrated and it wasn’t even that busy. A woman comes and takes over the register and I finally got my correct order. The Steak Biscuit and Apple Pie were both good and fresh. The dining room and front counter area was clean and decorated well.

Sam took my order and was very nice, courteous, and efficient. Good customer service is rare these days. Sam called for fries to drop before I even ordered. Was it just good timing, or maybe she’s a mind reader? Either way, this person deserves a raise and a promotion. Have a great day, Sam!

I normally stop in here a few times a week and order stuff. However today was different the little girl working the front counter was rude and seemed to be annoyed that I dare walk in there to place an order. Due to breakfast not being served yet I got the big hot ham combo the food was good, the front girl was rude saying here you go your order and pushing it on me when I asked for ketchup I was given 3 packs now I need more ketchup than that for an order of fries. So I asked for some more, she rudely replies saying you only need and get 1 packet… are you freaking serious, you charge me 10.79 for a small (6 bite) hot ham sandwich and a little more than a handful of fries and your telling me I only get 1 packet of ketchup. I won’t be back. I ended up using 6 packs of ketchup.

Extremely rude employees and false advertising. Stopped here for breakfast at 10:45 AM! 10:45!!!!!!!! And the cashier said they stop serving breakfast at 10:30. Even though the breakfast menu was up AND the advertising for breakfast said really big in bold red letters, BREAKFAST TILL NOON. Idk if they are just refusing to serve breakfast because they hate their job but this is clearly false advertising.

At 6:30am, I ordered a Super Bacon biscuit. What I got was cold. Everything was cold. The bacon was undercooked, floppy and cold. The egg was cold. The cheese could be removed in an entire piece, because it was COLD. The kicker was … the inside of my cold biscuit was wet. Wet and gummy.
The entire thing was not edible as it was served, and due to my already having left, I couldnt return for a refund.
Check your bags folks. BEFORE YOU LEAVE.
Also …. dont y’all have openers? Why was the oil cold? Why were there several people waiting on fryer items, at 6:30am?!

If the guy isn’t working the drive thru, you can expect your order to be wrong. Anytime he works, we don’t have issues, and he has a funny personality. If the woman are working, you can expect them to get every single thing wrong. I don’t know if they can’t hear or just don’t care. This Hardee’s is horrible without that guy working.

Stopped by this Hardees while coming to the Love’s gas station and was decently surprised with the quality of the food. Tenders were hand breaded and had actual white meat inside (similar to zaxbys and chick-fil-a), rather than a thick breading and ground up inside (like at Dairy Queen or Cook Out). The fries were good quality as well. They were similar to Wendy’s fries and had a nice crispy exterior to them. The ranch was nothing to write home about; not too great but did its job. Only gripe for the food was that both the fries and chicken could’ve used some kind of seasoning, but that can be remedied personally with salt & pepper packets. Service was solid, the employee didn’t go out of their way to be accommodating, but they took my order and I received my food less than a minute after. No attitudes from the employees, they were simply doing their job, but some extra customer service would help this place stand out like its competitors. Definitely worth the money for the chicken, and was a fast food experience that is worth being called “fast” food.

I came here to get breakfast and I walked up to the counter and stood there for 10 mins waiting for someone to take my order. Not surprising I heard employee’s in the back talking amongst each other and have no care about customers. This happened at 9:45am 12/24. Manager, please address this issue.

Located inside the Love’s Travel Stop.. employees were very friendly and professional.. I received prompt and courteous service.. Hardee’s has some of the best chicken strips in the country.. I’ve never been disappointed with them.. always cooked to perfection.. I do miss the curly fries though.. pretty good burgers here too..
