Stopped in for a lunch meeting yesterday and it was first time at Wahlburgers. Located inside of New Hope Hy Vee, this Wahlburgers offers the ability to have part of your party to grab something from the adjacent Hy Vee food court and bring it in. Clean dining room, professional and friendly staff. Ordered a basic 1/3 pound cheeseburger with fries.
Overall, the burger was excellent and it hands down beats Five Guys and their poor sanitation standards and idiot manager I experienced downtown last year. Definitely my go to place in the future.

Am I at a townie diner somewhere outside Detroit Lakes? Granted I’m trying to eat healthy at a restaurant in the Midwest – always a fraught proposition – but it takes an exceptionally pointless blob of shredded iceberg to get me to just not bother with the salad I paid the upcharge for.
But hey, the “house made avocado spread” (think guacamole without garlic or onions or cilantro, so…mashed avocado) wasn’t actively offensive.
I’ve had worse meals, but even for the suburbs this was aggressively mediocre.

This place used to be great before Mark bought them out. Service was fine, but the new food from the Wahlburger acquisition is trash. Burgers are horrible, any fast food chain on the planet is better I guarantee it.
Mark Wahlberg you royally messed this one up. Shame on you Hy-Vee, you guys definitely took a reputation hit.
This meal was $65 for two people by the way. I would have been happier off two cheeseburgers from McDonald’s next door.

Went to Wahlburgers to have an Our Burger with the wife. A half an hour later the server showed up and said sorry we never submitted your ticket and the cook just started on your meal now.
I asked for a refund and we would just leave. She left and came back five minutes later and said I can take care of your refund but not until I’m done with doordash.
I said keep the money, I’m done.
Honestly they did me a favor, the food always tasted greasy and cheap compared to the amount of money that you pay for it. An order of Chicken Wings and 2 Our Burgers ran me about 35 bucks. At least now I can walk away never spending/wasting that kind of money again.
We went home and cooked some hot dogs and peppers. I will enjoy a nice grease free healthy meal that tastes a whole lot better. Thank you Wahlburgers and franchisee HyVee for teaching me a valuable lesson “don’t paying money for something that you can do better yourself”.

The restaurant setup different then before. (Most likely due to COVID)
No more sit down and order with a waiter/waitress Now you order inside Hy-Vee Wahlburgers kiosk with employe. You place your order and pay. Then you seat inside Wahlburgers restaurant. You do have waiter/waitress comes by twice to your table.
The flow is very weird. For now it’s a skip, Hopefully, they will go back normal soon?

Went to Walburger because we didnt feel like cooking and we also had to do some shopping at the neighboring store. When we walked in the store was kind or dark but that could be because they closed with 30 mins of us arrived but we were able to get in and ordered our food. We both got two burgers (one single one double) with all the fixing and some tots and fried pickles. When finished shopping and picked up our food and went home. Everything tasted so fresh. The burgers were huge and fulfilling, and those fried pickles were top tier. Glad to say we will be back to visit.

The bartender took my food and told me I couldn’t sit at the bar because I wasn’t an PAYING customer,even though she was taking my boneless wings and sweet potato tots away from me, and made me move. She even called the head manager to come down and try to remove me but when he didn’t come down she paged over the intercom to have the store manager to come STAT. NO one came so she kicked me out.

Terrible experience. The person who took our order was clearly sick with some kind of cold. Service took nearly half an hour for two burgers and we were one of only two parties in the restaurant. Space seemed very dirty with unbussed tables everywhere. Employees were courteous but clearly don’t have the necessary resources or training.

The Wahlburger Double was delicious! I thought I would have more fries than I had, not sure what happened there. The service was great. It’s inside HyVee so you can do a little shopping and then sit down to have a bite to eat. It’s a nice and convenient set up.
