Unique restaurant serving polish cuisine. We had potato pancakes with kielbasa and a piggy omlette. We enjoyed our experience and found the food to be interesting. Coffee was nice and mild which is always a good sign for a breakfast place. I’m glad we visited and look forward to trying the crepes on our next visit.

Really great food. Family run Polish place that prides themselves on making everything fresh. The potato pancakes were wonderful, and mine were served with a hunk of some of the best kielbasa I’ve ever had. Crepes with raspberries, blueberries and white chocolate… yum.

Truly a locals place and now we understand why they keep coming back. We’re hooked.

Went for breakfast, potato pancakes were greasy with zero flavor, kielbasa is ok feels like hillshire farm not like a good homemade polish kielbasa, their white bread was also very very dense and came out burned. Will not be back and from all Of the reviews I’ve read definitely not impressed by this establishment. From one polish American citizen to another I do not suggest this restaurant.

Update*
Notified waitress of the issue and she did nothing about it, definitely will not be going back. $39 for something I can make better at home with a lot less grease.

Woefully underrated breakfast! I haven’t had lunch there yet but the pancakes and crepes are totally unbeatable. The weekend specials are always top-notch and the woman who is always there in the morning is a delight. When you come here, DEFINITELY try the crepes! They’re perfect!

4.4 mile hike this morning then we went to Smakosh Restaurant as a reward. Never went there before and we won’t be going back. I ordered Hash Benedict and my Honey had a cheeseburger. The wait for our meal? 31 minutes and there is only 6 tables being used. The corned beef wasn’t homemade which was disappointing. It was obviously from a can and shoved into the microwave to warm making it a disgusting mush. The poached eggs were almost hard boiled. The hash browns were not fully cooked and crunchy in the center. The hollandaise was good though. He couldn’t find his cheeseburger. It was a tiny lump of unseasoned hamburger, no cheese on his cheeseburger, inside a very large Kaiser roll with a ton of lettuce and a big blob of mayonnaise. They don’t have fries so he ended up with crunchy potatoes. Any thoughts about visiting this establishment? Please don’t. You will be disappointed.

Not sure what is happening. Been coming for a long time. I miss all the original staff. Where are you all? Today we got there at 11am. All new people except the nice woman who cooks. The last few months that we have gone, we have seen all new people. Anyway, today was even more disappointing. We spent a few minutes looking at the lunch menu, only to find out after that, when ordering, that they no longer do lunch on Sundays. I wished we were told that when seated, & maybe also, only given a breakfast menu. I dont know, but seems new people are being trained. Appears maybe will no longer be Smakosh ? It just hasn’t been the same & today was a real disappointment. Let your customers know when seated, of any changes. Fair enough?

Having worked in food service, I try to give every restaurant the benefit of the doubt. However, after stopping there for brunch with my boyfriend after work (we work 3rd shift at the casino), I was truly unimpressed with the overall impression of a Sunday morning brunch. 2 other tables were finishing as we walked in; there was also an UberEats driver picking up an order. We stood there for a couple minutes before just seating ourselves. We then had to wait several minutes just for menus, meanwhile listening to I assume the owner and the driver argue over the order he was picking up, with the owner getting loud and visibly flustering his staff. Our orders were taken while the argument continued, the other tables finishing and leaving. While the staff argued with the driver over who was paying for the to go order, we sat waiting for over half an hour in an empty restaurant for 2 fairly easy orders. My boyfriend ordered stuffed french toast with sausage, egg and Swiss, and I ordered the weekend french toast special with Nutella, bananas, and raspberry sauce. To start, they brought 2 specials originally. Then, when we corrected them, my boyfriend received his food on toast with raw cinnamon thrown across the plate. With my special, what I assumed would be a complimentary raspberry sauce was an overwhelming amount of raspberry jam slathered across the top. This was still with a mostly empty restaurant. We received a hurried apology for the lateness of the food. We still left a tip because its not the fault of the wait staff. However between the food and the owner we won’t be returning. Would hate to see how they handle any other issues or a full dining room.

My husband and I ate there two days in a row while visiting Connecticut! The first morning we had breakfast which was out of this world.. The next day, we decided to try the pierogies. I had never had them before and wanted to try them. Corky was our waitress and she was a doll! She told us we would love them and she was right! Everything homemade!

The eggs Benedict were perfect with their home made hollandaise. ( Almost as good as mine). Their Texas French toast and scrambled eggs were awesome. Service was fast and friendly..
