Was in town performing at the vixen and noticed a bakery right next door. I never would’ve thought a Mexican bakery would be in Mchenry lol but i always make a thing that if i see my peoples working, that id support it! I walked in, a sweet lady greeted me and I grabbed an elephant ear, I didn’t take a bite til i got to the venue and settled down and OH MY GOD. DELICIOUS ! It was 8pm and i checked google for what time they closed and it said 9pm so i hurried to go back and was going to grab a bagful but unfortunately she closed early. I was looking forward to bringing some home and having it for breakfast for the next week . My only complaint was not being open when the hours are posted BUT life happens and maybe I was the only customer for hours. Regardless, I’m buying you out next time I’m hired back in Mchenry lol

The bread is ok but the service is awful! I bought 6 bolillos 4 de dulce and 2 of cheese and it was $27 dollars which I think is very expensive for what I have, when I asked the cashier for the price she laughed sarcastically and she started arguing with me, unfortunately this is the second second time that she has been very rude!
I think the owner needs to choose a better employees, some one who cares and respect customers.

We ordered 100 panbasos We asked for a small size and they gave us a big one. Then when we asked to gives us the right size, the employee just told us that’s how their made. I lived in McHenry area in the last 20 years, and they used to make them small and round.

I had a get a last minute cake for my 2 year old and Tutes bakery we’re the only ones able to bake the cake that I wanted! Even though it was kinda last minute, they made such a pretty cake and it was also delicious! Not too sweet, it was moist and everyone raved about it! The price was very good as well. I will definitely be coming back here! Thank you Tutes Bakery!

Come here if you want mold and aunts in your bread/pastries. I asked one of the workers when the bread was made and they told me they were fresh. I purchased some bread and the next day I opened my bag to eat some and it had mold. I called to report the issue and the employee refused to give me her name and gave me attitude and finally told me her name was “Karla”. Never coming here again and will be taking my business to Yelys bakery.

Ordered from Tutes bakery for my daughters sweet 16 and these pictures do no justice!! The tres leches cake was delicious and the gelatinas amazing. All the guest loved them. Will be ordering from them again soon!!..

I called to order gelatinas for my son’s birthday and the lady working there is the worst!! I had told her how much I had loved the ones I got for my daughter’s birthday and wanted the same ones. She went on about how she preferred to make them just one flavor because it was too much work for her and takes up too much of her time. I told her I would pay her I didn’t mind, she was just so rude. ITS YOUR JOB LADY!!! I was so disappointed in that and to top it all off she told me to do what I want she didn’t care! I had given this place a 5 star before but because of your rude employee that doesn’t care I wish I can give you none.

There was a bit of a language barrier upon ordering my 2 cakes but the cake decorater was so helpful. I sent pictures of my ideas and she absolutely nailed it! Both cakes were perfect and exactly what I had in mind. Not to mention absolutely delicious! I will 10000% use them again. Thank you so much for everything!

The Mexican bread is very tasty. Her tamales are so flavorful and delicious. I moved from Chicago and this place is authentic and delicious! Definitely a must try if you’re looking for good Mexican bread, danishes, bolillos, elotes, or tamales.
