We stopped to eat after the Plant City Strawberry Fest. My sister found the place and thought I might like it. She heard it was the closest to New Orleans food you could get in Florida. We tried two different appetizers, Louisiana Fondue and crab egg rolls (?), we had a cup of gumbo and a cup of she-crab, the gumbo was good, the she-crab was excellent. For the entrées, we had the red fish , the Andouille crusted grouper, and the crab potpie. Both fish dishes were excellent, the potpie was a little soupier than I thought it should be, but was tasty and flavorful. We brought home three different desserts, key lime pie, banana rum cheesecake, and banana creme Brule. All were fantastic!! Our waiter Bryce, was very good. He knew how to pace the dishes, and kept the drinks full, great table service. I can’t wait to go back and try different dishes!!

Cajun and Creole food. I love it but this is kind of Olive Garden quality type food. The one exception was the she-crab soup, which was excellent save for the fact that it was not served very hot. Gumbo was unexceptional. Would never do to the shrimp and grits again. The Cajun Chicken Pasta was exactly what it presented itself as. I thought the collards were insanely salty but my dining companion liked them. New Orleans and Louisiana have so many good places to eat. If you’ve been you know. Particularly upsetting that it took 15 minutes for someone to even address the table to get us a drink or water or anything despite several servers having walked by. I don’t care if it’s your table or not when you see someone who hasn’t been attended to you alert somebody. I’m serious it took 15 minutes for somebody to come to the table. And then it’s a bunch of he said she said it’s someone else’s fault not mine but I’ll serve you. The service issue is more easily corrected than the food quality. To the uninitiated this is a wonderful place to try some things you wouldn’t get down the street, but for true foodies it just comes up short.

We really enjoyed our experience at Harry’s we didn’t realize it was a Lakeland staple so that was a nice surprise. It did not disappoint. We sat down immediately and was attended to by a very nice server. Our food came out tasty and fairly quick. Would highly recommend. Fish Tacos were awesome!

I’ve lived in Lakeland since 1989 and this was my 1st visit to Harry’s. I don’t like seafood which is why I’d never been but they have so much more than just seafood. The service was superior. The atmosphere was fantastic. The food was amazing! Wait time wasn’t too bad either.

We had a wonderful experience at Harry’s Seafood Bar & Grille in downtown Lakeland. The food was absolutely delicious. We started with the Ahi Tuna appetizer, followed by the crusted grouper with smashed potatoes and the honey bourbon glazed salmon, which were perfectly cooked and full of flavor. For dessert, my partner had the banana cream brûlée, and said it was fantastic. Brittany, our server, was amazing — attentive, friendly, and made our meal even more enjoyable. The atmosphere was inviting, and the outdoor patio added a lovely touch to our dining experience. Highly recommend Harry’s for anyone looking for great seafood, excellent service, and a charming setting.

In town from St.Louis for a mens soccer tourney. After reading the reviews, we called Harry’s at 3pm to see if they could accommodate 20-25 of us for a team dinner. Robin, the manager, is probably one of the sweetest ladies you will ever meet and she said,”No problem. Sunday is my busiest day but we would love to have you and I’ll make it work. Be here at 5.” We walked in at 5 to the perfect set up. Taylor, our waitress, was super friendly and you tell that not only was she great at her job but she thoroughly enjoyed it. Please patronize this place as the food, service, staff, and atmosphere are ALL outstanding!!!!

For the wait, they gave us fresh bread with butter, which was a nice touch. The calamari was okay, and the pasta we ordered tasted good. Overall, it’s a nice place.

Great place. It doesn’t take reservations so when we went they said 45 mins to wait and we were seated in like 20 mins. We were only 2 people though. They have a bar where you can sit and even eat there if anything. Service was great, a bit slow because it was really packed but the food great overall! Their fried platters were the best!

Everything was great except for the french fries on the fried fish and shrimp platter. They were gooey and mushy. The staff with wonderful and atmosphere was great. Thank you

Wow! What an excellent restaurant! Nestled in the heart of downtown Lakeland, Harry’s is a place you don’t want to miss. The menu was so extensive, it was hard to choose what to order! I eventually decided on the crab cakes & my boyfriend ordered the redfish. Both meals were deliciously tender & bursting with exotic New Orleans flavor. You can tell the cooks truly put their best into their dishes. My boyfriend commented that Harry’s was the first restaurant we’ve visited in a while where we both scraped our plates clean. We will certainly be back to try more!
