Always like food here. Not many dine-in, but a lot of take-out.

Sunday 5/18/25 Desert time at Phoenix restaurant with my aunt and sister. Enjoying their black sesame hot deserts. It brings back my childhood memories when my parents made this desert at home on a cold night.

OK so. I ordered a chicken dish from here today for my lunch via uber eats at work. Food gets delivered, I’m tired, I go on lunch to eat. As I’m chewing my food, I get a weird texture. I’m thinking, ‘Oh, is this chicken dry or something?’ The feeling is too unfamiliar/unnatural that I take out what I was chewing. It was a piece of metal from those metal scrubbing sponges. I just lost my appetite, I spit everything out and I’m scared that the rest of the food is unsafe to eat, maybe there’s another piece that’ll show up. I’m upset, but not angry, but I call the restaurant anyways. The first person who answered kept saying something along the lines of they don’t do uber eats? I’m confused, the first employee hands over the phone to a coworker who’s more fluent in english. I explain to the second employee what happened. They then tell me that they don’t have uber eats or something again and then says that they didn’t get any uber eats orders so far. I’m frustrated and confused, because their stories were inconsistent and I wasn’t getting any help. I double-check my receipt with the restaurant’s address attached to it. The address on the receipt and the address that I called were the SAME. So, did they just lie to me and just decide not to deal with me?

Just like the other outlets in the chain. They only had a few seated groups. Good service, and food came out very quickly. Ordered the egg and shrimp plus the braised tofu and seafood. Quick lunch and everything hit the spot.
