My cousin told me about this place, therefore, I wanted to see for myself. On my first visit I ordered a shrimp and chicken wing combo plate. My two sides were collard greens and fried okra. I thought they were going to give me wingettes like most restaurants do. When I got home, to my surprise they had given me 5 whole wings and approximately 6 huge jumbo shrimp . My food was so delicious. I went back the next day and ordered a tripe sandwich. On Wednesday’s they have tripe sandwiches for $5. It was amazing. The tripe was so tender, it melts in your mouth. I will definitely be going back. I’m going to introduce my friends and family to this restaurant. The prices are reasonable. The food wasn’t overly seasoned. Kudos to you Joe Jo’s Fish and Grill. See you next time!

This place is a gem. Joe-jo’s opened in May 2020 during a rough time for the food services industry, but yet here they are. For no thrills well cooked food that is locally owned, this is your stop. Friendly service as well! I recommend the wings with sweet hot sauce, it is not spicy at all, so if you want some kick ask for it!

Tried them for the 1st time today. Ordered jumbo shrimp, collard greens w/smoked Turkey, hush puppies (4). Also ordered their jack filet special which came with 2 filets and fries.
The shrimp are definitely jumbo and not over battered. They were butterflied and delicious. The collards were typical, hush puppies were lacking and not worth getting. They were hard and dry. The jack and frieswere typical.
This got a 4 star rating because it tasted as if everything including fries and collards had sugar in the seasoning. Which I do not like. I would visit them again to try other items.

Ordered fish, and tripe sandwich with fries. The fish was fishy smelling and fried way too hard.(Maybe trying to cover up the fishy smell) The tripe sandwich was only the hard crust part, and the fries were also fried way too hard. The banana pudding dessert was good. But overall, it was $close to $50 wasted. I will not be ordering from here again. I supported a black business, but the food quality was LOW and I don’t have money to waste.

I ordered the shrimp & jack salmon combo this past weekend on 7/22/2023. The Jack’s were so small & smelly. I didn’t even know they had Jack’s that small & skinny. The shrimp has even got smaller, they were still tasty. They need to charge people for their food worth or go down on prices or give more when they know they food is too small for the price. Hope they get better.

Tried Joe-Jo’s fish and chicken a few days ago for the first time and I was not disappointed. The wings were fried fresh to order and I tried 3 different seasonings (regularly fried, sweet hot, and lemon pepper) and the seasonings were all so good. The sides I ordered were greens and spaghetti and they were very good as well. The services was friendly and the wait was not excessively long considering I ordered 25 wings and a couple of other items. The owner was very friendly and helpful with understanding the menu. I will be returning for a second time.
