Found this by chance and had a muffin and frappe. Muffin was the best I’ve ever had, hands down! So many desserts to choose from, all looking delicious! If you’re near gate city, it sure is worth the trip! Staff is friendly and shop is very clean and appealing! Looking forward to stopping by for lunch!

Oh my! I wished I lived closer to try everything on the menu and in the bakery case. Had the wonderful chicken salad on croissant. Loved the antipasto salad. Had a slice of the caramel cake (swoon!) and took a strawberry cookie home with me (aMAZing!!). The service behind the counter was friendly and helpful. The seating is warm and cozy. Even the outside is inviting. Want to go back soon!

The Family Bakery is the BEST in SW VA/NE TN. We love going in for lunch and ending it with a sweet treat! Everyone is so welcoming and friendly. If you are ever in the Gate City area this is a MUST stop! You won’t regret it because once you visit you will keep making sure you are in the area so you can stop in again!

This is the best place around for a quick coffee and some delicious food, or to host a party or baby shower! My family and I have hosted two baby showers there with great success, and another family member recently held a 90th birthday bash for our grandmother! The owners and staff of the Family Bakery created the most warm and inviting atmosphere imaginable, and I will continue to visit and host parties there for years to come. Friendliest service around, along with the best atmosphere and food in Scott County.
