Stepping inside this bar was like walking onto the set of a Rolling Stones memoir. The bartenders are friendly, the dark red lighting is immaculate, and the chandeliers over the bar with black candles and roses are stunning. Vinyl records line the walls, and a live DJ curates classics at a comfortable volume. The food was great (if a little on the pricey end) and the drinks were inspired. This is a great place to bring a date.

Wow, Plymouth! If you haven’t been to Red Ryder for dinner, cocktails, the atmosphere, the music–you have been missing out. Tonight, we tried the stuffed peppers, the Brussel sprouts, watermelon feta salad and goat cheese burger. We also had the Hotel Yorba, Paloma and Last Word cocktails. Everything. Was. Delicious. The flavors, the presentation. Everything.

Wow just awesome our server Katlyn was amazing. Food was hot fast and perfect. Wish they had a dessert. Worth a trip to this place the deviled eggs are top dollar. Ok the drinks were also very good. I would make the hour drive all day long.

Red Ryder is swanky and at the same time low key — hard to pull off, but they’ve done it with flair. I only had appetizers but they were generous portions and I filled up on delicious hummus and flatbread and creative deviled eggs. The NA mixed drink was delicious. Definitely hit them up sometime!

This place is impressive! The atmosphere hits you with nostalgia and you’re transported back to hanging out in your grandparents basement! With real records on the wall being played over the speakers and a fantastic cocktail in your hand made by Paige the bartender, you can’t go wrong coming here for a night on the town!

The menu looked delicious between cocktails and food, it was hard to decide! But we settled on the Paloma (so good!!) and the Sazerac for drinks, got the deviled eggs to start, and each had one of the best grilled cheese we’ve ever tried! Excited to come back and try the burger next time, but it will be hard to say no that grilled cheese!

Went here back in September for during the first week it was open but wanted to wait until the Google reviews from the previous restaurant the Honey Hole were gone so I could leave a proper review!

Went here on a Saturday night and was not impressed with anything.

The last word tasted off. Which is weird as it’s an equal parts cocktail. The naughty by nature also wasn’t great.

Queso dip was very bland, deviled eggs were good and the corn dogs were solid.

Fish and chips was 3 tiny pieces of fish and somehow the garlic parm seasoning made the shoestrings taste bad (didn’t know you could ruin those). The Cajun fries were delicious though. Friend said the burger was just OK.

Lastly, the vibe. It felt like this was inspired by listening bars but they’ve never actually been to one. It was way too bright and the music wasn’t enough of a focus. The DJ did play a few tracks I enjoyed but overall not the auditory experience I expected.

So, we were here back in September, right after they opened. I said I would come back and give it another shot. Here I am! First, let me tell you… HUGE improvement (as expected from just opening). I’m not usually a fan of smash burgers, but…. wait for it… THIS one… the double… ON POINT!! Juicy, flavorful, cooked and seasoned to perfection! The shoestring fries were also fantastic. They were hot and delicious. They open at noon Friday and Saturday and at 3pm on Wednesday and Thursday. We came in on a Friday afternoon at 1pm. We were the only ones in the place. About 40 minutes later, it started to show a little more life. The music is still fantastic. The staff is super friendly and attentive. The Happy Hour (HH) menu is a nice touch. Decent food and drink prices. However, deviation from the HH menu gets a little pricier. I understand the competitive nature and need in the restaurant/bar industry, however we still think that the prices on the regular menu are still quite a bit more than neighboring restaurant/bars. Having said all of this, we WILL keep coming back. The food and service make us want to. We can’t wait to enjoy the patio.
Thank you for a great lunch (5/23/2025).
We wish you continued success.

Outstanding ambiance, music, service, drinks and food! You simply must try the Snacks! We devoured the Crispy Brussel Sprouts, Fried Mushrooms, and Deviled Eggs. The DJ on the 80’s Alternative/ New Wave night we visited, played an amazing mix of deep cuts, classics and favorites. We already have reservations on deck for the next vinyl night of punk/alternative music. Red Ryder is our new hang out spot for the best music, drinks, food and fun! See you there!

I’m saying this out of love because I really do love this place, but:

1. No reservations for a bar seat, everywhere in America is first come first serve. This is a neighborhood bar and you need space for walk-ins.
2. Utilize your empty patio. Put a tent over it in the winter and have it be your overflow space. You’re wasting so much potential.

Other than that I will say the vibes are immaculate and it’s the best margarita I’ve ever had in my 33 years. Xoxo

What an interesting and fun place to dine and enjoy some cocktails. The bar is engulfed in red lighting. The walls give off a 1970/80 Midwest basement vibe, with paneling and rows of albums, and the decorative marquee. I enjoyed the blackened shrimp Caesar salad on my first visit. It was delicious but hard to cut up and eat on the narrow plate it was served on. My second time I enjoyed the grilled chicken sandwich. Both times I ordered a dirty martini. The martini was well crafted and tasty but I found the price a little steep especially compared to their reasonably priced food items. Highly recommend the deviled eggs on their small plates/starter menu! We will definitely return again.
