This is a small bakery that we stumbled across while visiting Lock 50. We purchased cinnamon rolls and frosted brownies. Both were really tasty but the brownies were the best we’ve ever had from a bakery. I had a recipe for saucepan brownies years ago but lost it. These reminded me of those!

Their baked products are heavenly. I adore the light cream they use in stead of the thick, gritty icing so many pastry shops seem fond of. Today when you open at 10 AM. I will be there in support of your yummy treats and local owned buisniess… And my sweet tooth! ❤

While checking out the nearby canal lock, I noticed that the store was incredibly busy and decided to visit. With “confectionery”: in the name, I was expecting a candy store not a bakery. The retail store area is very small. Although they were in full on Christmas order pick up mode and the case was bare, the super friendly staff found an extra dozen cut out sugar cookies for me to purchase. These were not only beautiful but simply delicious. I’m looking forward to visiting again after the holiday craziness, to sample more sweets!

Unfortunately we did not try anything, they were out of their baked goods except one or two items.
