A seemingly undiscovered bar in a busy college town, Black River offers a great selection of beer and wine and an excellent atmosphere with many local events. The owners are lovely and the food is delicious. The only downside might be the higher end prices if you’re dining in — though if you buy to-go they sell at state minimum — but good luck finding better value anywhere nearby.

I went to Oberlin for college (class of 2025 babyyy) and this was my favorite place to go on weekends. The beer is delicious, the cocktails are yummy, and the staff is incredibly welcoming. My boyfriend and I always looked forward to spending a Friday night scoping out their large selection of board games and trying their incredible selection. THANK YOU GUYS I MISS YOU!!!!
