Kudos to the new owners! They really turned this place around. The food is so fresh and that pork fried rice has so much flavor!! I used to hesitantly stop by here because it’s the only Chinese on the way home from work. If they keep up with the fresh food, this will be my new chinese restaurant to go to 🙂

So I went to two places looking for wantons. The second place said Happy Garden. I am so dissapointed. Overall bad experience, service, and food. I called in an order for hibatchi chicken, side of broccoli, sweet and sour chicken, and wantons. They guy is great on the phone and tells me to give them 20 min. So here I go syked about wantons to get my order. There is one table with folks eating, but there was a line to the door with people waiting. So after almost 15 min, Its my turn at the counter. The lady looks at me but says nothing, so I said I had a call in for Sarah. She asks me my order and writes it down. 20 min later my food comes. So it took them an hour to have my food ready. I am visibly irritated and told the lady I was told 20 min, and I’ve been here 35. She took $1.54 off my order to make it an even $20.00… How generous. So I drive home, open the food, and theirs no shrimp sauce. Boo right! Isn’t shrimp sauce like the most important thing besides the wantons? Speaking of wantons, they were empty!!!!! Barely any filling at all. I will never go back.

Our experience here has been pretty bad. The first time, I ordered a steamed chicken dish. When I went to eat it at home, it was raw in the middle! I’m pregnant and it was a horrifying experience. I just microwaved it until it was done and figured it was a fluke.

The second time, I ordered scallion chicken, which I’ve ordered numerous places throughout my life. This was horrible. About 1/3 of the whole dish was chopped white, barely cooked onions (not scallions), and pretty much no sauce to speak of. There was something on it, but it was bitter and tasted kind of burnt.

Their fried rice has a good taste, as well as the Rangoon, but those are the most redeeming qualities. And the inside of the restaurant is gross. We will never be back.

This place has went down hill, in our opinion.
They used to be so good. We think they have changed owners or something. There’s new people and a new cook. The food most definitely has changed, the past 2 times we’ve been there. My chicken was still a little raw and my husband’s steak was very hard. He’s refusing to go back.

Every time we go to Happy Garden, we are greeted with a friendly smile and hospitality.
The combination of Chinese and Japanese food options makes this our favorite place to eat out.
The Christian radio playing over the speakers is a plus too.
Our autistic daughter loves the decorations/artwork and is always welcomed too.
I would recommend Happy Garden to anyone who loves Chinese/Japanese food, great atmosphere and a friendly welcome each time we go.
PS…the tea is super sweet!

Ate there today after re-opening. It was so-so

1) Need someone to STAY at the counter to take care of the customers. Everyone had to wait 10+ minutes to even be greeted let alone have order taken.
2) Rice is NEVER the fried rice, just a plain yellow rice.
3.) Please return to the previous egg roll recipe. Current one is extremely bitter and over fried.
4) Get rid of the static filled radio station. It is extremely annoying. Play the local station or silence.
Continue to clean up the place and update the decor. Don’t need fake flowers on the tables, but soy sauce and other condiments are appreciated.

I love this little place, the owners are such nice people and the food is good. The biggest drawback at the moment is a very low health rating so I have stopped going. I hope they get things resolved soon because I really do like the place.

This is my favorite Chinese restaurant, and there isn’t a close 2nd in my opinion.
The option of ordering only white meat chicken is awesome.
Homemade cream cheese wontons.
And their fried rice has to be some secret family recipe because I have never seen or tasted anything like it

Got our food in a box that was premade egg rolls. I can only imagine most everything else is premade. But that isn’t why I am leaving them 1 star… I am leaving it because the owner’s son works the counter and he was SO high! He could barely function, could barely even speak. Because he was barely functioning, we ended up with a $35 bill when it should have been $20. I couldn’t break it down for him because he was in another world. I suspect opiates, a really heavy downer. I understand wanting to party but leave it at home!
