Upscale New American fare with a few Argentinean twists plus ocean views in a seaside resort.

Great views. Lovely staff.
And let me say… the best burgers we have had in many many years in a range of many many places. Everything we had was delicious. Hubby loved his soup and I really enjoyed my eggplant appetizer.

My wife and I have been here several times before and always loved it…..atmosphere by the fireplace, staff and food were always excellent. This time (early Saturday evening) was a completely different experience. My issues only center around the food we ordered, which was an appetizer, burger and a salad. My complaints are that the burger came out completely burned black on the bottom side which was ordered medium rare. The bottom of the bun was rock hard and inedible, the two pieces of bacon that were on it were also mostly burned black. Other personal preferences like smothered in too much bbq sauce and a tasteless salad are more personal preferences that we were disappointed in. I should have sent it all back but was so hungry, I ate it resentfully. I did save the bun, some of the burned burger and bacon and showed the manager as we were about to leave. Manager’s reaction was somewhat stoic. He said he would let the kitchen know and welcomed us to come back again. I am not sure that It really only takes one bad restaurant experience to not ever want to go back there. I am sure they will survive fine without me, but hopefully, they decide to always provide an experienced and caring kitchen staff.

A beautifully located restaurant with lovely pcean-fscing patio.
The food is really good, although not outstanding enough to change your route to drop in. The fish stew is solid, although I’d expect a slightly more filling meal. The swordfish is interesting, I recommend it (unless you hate cumin).
Eggs Benedict are done on a great bun, although mine were overcooked (I asked for medium, they were hard boiled).
Blueberry pancakes are very tasty, I only wish they had some fresh fruit on the side.

An excellent breakfast option with amazing views of the ocean is Seaglass Restaurant at the @innbythesea.maine on Cape Elizabeth in Portland.
Super fluffy Blueberry Pancakes topped with blueberry butter and Lobster topped Eggs Benny with AMAZING Hollandaise Sauce is a must get.
Deck dining is available when the weather permits, and the sunrise views and lobsterboats innthe water are stunning.

Excellent original cocktails. We went out in Portland to Blyth and Burrows and Central Provisions and the Buoy was our favorite cocktail of the weekend. Came back from Portland early for a second night at the bar, which was well-attended both days by Edwin.
Breakfast was fantastic – locally sourced ingredients, well-presented with an excellent view. Mushroom and mozzarella frittata was delicious and the crispy potatoes were amazing. All around great dining experience during our stay at the hotel.

Staying at the Inn and had two great breakfasts. Friendly, fast & considerate service.
Update: another great breakfast. My experts said they changed the pancake recipe and it’s even better than last time. Substituted chocolate chips for blueberries for one of the orders, to his delight. Berries and crispy potatoes stood out. Before closing, we ordered a lobster roll (great, even at $32) and gnocchi (just ok).

The best things about this restaurant are their breakfast, and the cozy comfortable lounge. Dinner wasn’t their strong suit. I recommend having breakfast here, uber to town for dinner, then come back before the lounge closes for a pleasant nightcap.

Great place for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Friendly staff. Nice views of the gardens and ocean. Small menu but it packs a punch with top-quality choices and ingredients. Great lobster roll, french toast, and breakfast sandwiches.

Literally the best brunch I have ever had anywhere. I will be back, zero question about it. Had the smoked salmon starter, a bloody Mary, eggs Benedict, and the Mrs. had a brunch burger. Every single part of the meal had such an excellent, unexpected level of flavor. Simply fantastic.

This place is AMAZING! We stayed at the Inn for three nights and ended up eating breakfast there every day and dinner there every night. Paula was so helpful with securing reservations for us and we enjoyed chatting with her before and after meals. Bella was our server in the morning and she was such a joy! Abby was our server at night and she was amazing! She was so helpful with recommendations and we really enjoyed getting to know her! The first night she recommended the Charred Elote Bisque and my mom and I both decided it was the best soup we’ve EVER had. We ordered it again both nights. The Ceaser Salad was also the best I’ve ever had. All of the food was top notch, the service was great, the presentation was exceptional. We are dying to return to Maine to have the Bisque before the menu changes again! Can’t say enough good things about Sea Glass. All my compliments to the chefs and staff for making these meals so memorable!
