Called in a to go order on a Monday. Was the only place open that was serving from scratch pub style burgers. Food was delicious, price was good, and I even sat down and had a domestic draft since it was happy hour and had a nice friendly conversation with the bartender. Its not a 5 star restaurant, but if good atmosphere, good people, and good pub style food is what you’re looking for, I recommend The Union House!

If you like old school dive bars* (without smoking, thank you!), this is your place. The building is awesome. The beer is cheap, the food is super reasonable and amazingly good, the service is fantastic, and the local entertainment is off the charts. One of the best burgers I have had in a while. The fries were really good. Everyone was raving about whatever they were eating.
I would drive out of my way to stop in here for some entertainment and an inexpensive evening.
*Note: The Term “Dive Bar” may not be correct as this place serves excelent food and is great for anyone to visit. I use the term dive bar in a fond way.

Several call this a dive bar. I’ve seen dive bars, this isn’t one. It is nicer. It’s a nice old building type bar/restaurant. Stopped in this evening on a trip out of town. It was a pleasant visit; excellent food, crisp cold beer, excellent bartender. Great price. Worth the stop.

My kind of dive bar! Bartender was prompt and made great drinks. He was attentive to when the glass was less than half. Price was reasonable. We did not eat here so no comments or feedback on that.

Ok… So i live the n the area and i am a black man. An individual that is known to the establishment was speaking some not nice things and i approached him, in a way that was not aggressive but matter of fact. The bar tender told me after i apologized, that i made the situation bad when i approached the man that was being disrespectful. She also would not speak to me about it because I was not allowing her to explain my point about the situation. She made it more about her then the actual situation. I am absolutely heartbroken and disappointed in a business that allows an individual to verbalize racial bigotry and shield them. Like it’s a normal thing for the area. I call for a boycott of this establishment. There is no place for this in our society anymore! I am hurt and will not rest until this is rectified! Shame on the bartender who basically tolde i was aggressive when i asked a question! Shame! Shame! Shame! I am here and i count! This is not ok!!! Hurt is an understatement!
