Ordered takeout from Don Chicken on Northern Blvd and went for the Spicy Soy Garlic Chicken and it did not disappoint. The pieces were pretty big, juicy inside, and had that trademark Korean fried chicken crunch: thin, shatter-crispy, never greasy. The soy garlic glaze was spot on savory, garlicky, with just enough kick to keep me reaching for another bite.
I also tried the Sweet & Spicy flavor not bad at all, just leaned sweeter than what I usually like.
What I really appreciate is how Korean fried chicken is different from the fried chicken most of us grew up with. Instead of a thick, heavy batter, it’s double-fried a method that actually came about in Korea in the 1960s and 70s when fried chicken started getting popular alongside beer (“chimaek,” short for chicken + maekju/beer, is now a whole culture). That double fry gives you the crunch without the grease, and the sauces like this soy garlic add layered flavor instead of just salt and breading.
For takeout, it traveled well too the chicken stayed crisp even by the time I got home, which tells you they’re doing it right. Generous portions, bold flavor, and that authentic K-fried crispness make the spicy soy garlic the clear winner for me.

Ppurings chicken: 5 out of 5. Delicious, unique flavor. On par with spicy soy fried chicken.
Cheese fried chicken: 2 out of 5. It’s fine but overshadowed by the Ppurings chicken. It’s a less tasty, and similar dish to the Ppurings chicken.
Sweet-&-Spicy chicken: 3 out of 5. It’s pretty tasty, but an underwhelming flavor when compared to Ppurings or spicy soy.
Coleslaw: 4 out of 5. Pretty tasty, hint of sweetness.
Ambience: 3 out of 5. Clean, spacious, 1 private bathroom.
Service: 5 out of 5. Very helpful, polite, and accommodating staff.
You can choose between ordering drumsticks or wings for the fried chicken. You get fewer drumsticks than wings.

Don Chicken Little Neck is amazing! The chicken was juicy and had the perfect amount of sauce and crunch with each bite. The house made corn cole slaw was really good and went well with the chicken! All the side menus were good including the cheese tteokbbokki. If you’re looking for Korean fried chicken in the area, Don chicken is the place!!!

Ordered the soy garlic combo and received 6 drumsticks and 2 wings (Suppose to come with more wings and 2 drumsticks). Chicken and flavor was good but I would not recommend the rose dukbokki! Not spicy at all and tasted like cream and water with an overwhelming amount of cabbage.

Don chicken never disappoints! Every time I crave fried chicken or takeout, Don chicken always hits the spot! I always order the soy garlic chicken with a side of fries. The chicken always stays crispy even after being drenched in sauce and kept in the fridge. The fries are always crisp and delectable. I also recommend getting a side of coleslaw as it is lightly sweet and refreshing!
Occasionally I’d also get a cheese tteoboki. The tteoboki sauce is nicely flavored and the cheese cuts the spice!

New chicken spot that open up recently. The chicken and french fries were fried to perfection and super crispy! Flavor wasn’t too bad and the spice has a nice little kick.
The punch flavors were all refreshing (we got lychee, mango, yuzu and lime) and delicious. Personally enjoyed the lychee the most.
Straightforward menu and they’re working on getting their liquor license. Happy to have such a quality Korean Fried Chicken spot nearby me

After reading all of the rave reviews I finally decided to try Don chicken out for the first time. I ordered for take-out. I ordered soy garlic and cheese snowing chicken as well as spicy rice cakes. The chicken was pretty good and I have no complaints there. But the spicy rice cake was inedible. It was pretty awful to say the least. There were unknown black specks throughout the dish and felt weird sensations in my mouth as I chewed one. I had to throw the whole dish out sadly. It was just awful!! I felt so bad for my family members all looking at one another to see if they felt the same gritiness. I don’t know what went wrong during the makes of it but to serve it the way the restaurant did was a huge letdown and I won’t be returning 🙁

The establishment’s cleanliness and the genuine friendliness of the staff added to the overall positive atmosphere. I left with a satisfied palate and a smile, eager to return for more of their delicious offerings.
