Lupe’s offers a good variety of food besides their home made tamales. Their breakfast was delicious. The Tamales were alright. I found the pork with jalapeno to be the better tasting tamales out of the five we ordered. I will definitely come here for the breakfast again, I am not so certain on the tamales. This is a decent restaurant in the old downtown area of Sherman.

Lupes world famous? I don’t know how anybody can say they are good. Poor quality, no meat, no flavor and my pinky is thicker than those tamales. Anyone who knows authentic food knows this ain’t it. Tex Mex at best…. Maybe taco bell tamales.

If I could give our visit a 3 1/2 I would. It was our first time and some things I liked and others I didn’t. My husband liked his meal, it was a Pork Tamale Plate with Chili and Eggs . He said he would give it a 4, he thought the tamales and chili were good. We both liked the beans, not my favorite, but by far not my least favorite. We both liked their Hot Sauce and would give it a solid 4, I really enjoyed eating it, it was pretty much my favorite thing. My husband liked their Green Salsa the most and would give that a 4 1/2.
I was disappointed in my tamale selection. We drove about 1 1/2 hours one way and I was looking forward to their Sweet Potato Tamale, but did not have any available. I also asked for a Brisket Tamale , but they had none of those available either. I was told they had pork, chicken, and spinach tamales to choose from so I settled for a spinach one. I did not like it and gave the rest to my husband, the masa tasted like blueberries to me. ♀️
I did get two breakfast tacos and I liked the No. 4, Potatoe, Cheese and Potatoes one. I would give them a 3, that tasted very average to me. I got a Spinach Breakfast Taco and did not like that at all, I’d probably give it a 1 1/2 or 2.
The waitress was pleasant and there were no problems there. I’m glad my husband enjoyed his plate and I really did enjoy the hot sauce.

I ordered enchiladas, tamales said a taco salad. The food didn’t taste like it was fresh. Taco salad chips old and stale so I threw it in the trash. I was very disappointed!

This is very embarrassing, I don’t want people who are not Mexican to belive this is Mexican food! The tamale is very representative of us and this is not a tamale, it is a mixture like a popusa made in a churro machine. the price too high and unfair for the poor quality of the food
