Found online and are always wanting to support Black businesses so we stopped in and I’m glad we did! The service was friendly and the food tasty!!! The Sexy Shrimp Po Boy is hands down the best I’ve ever had. My hubs had the shrimp boil and while there weren’t a ton a shrimp, the seasoning and extras (turkey neck, corn, broccoli, sausage, carrots and potatoes) made up the difference. The seasoning was so good!!

I visited back in March. The customer service is really good, there were some blues playing and my food was fresh! I had fish, shrimp, red beans (not pictured) and their special sauce. I enjoyed the flavors. The red beans had a spice to them but this could be how folks like them. I’m from Louisiana but is not a fan of spicy beans. Overall good experience!

Stopped by today for the sampler. Lemon pepper wings (delicious) boudin balls (not my fav) shrimp (delicious) and whiting fish (it was ok). My husband had red beans and rice (DELICIOUS) and said they are just like home (LA). You MUST try the Pound or Lemon cake. Both are delicious. Service was top-notch.

So my dad is from Thibodaux Louisiana and normally no one’s gumbo compares to his. All the food here was delicious & the Gumbo is A1!!!! Red beans and rice delicious! The Gumbo had blue crab, chicken, sausage (not pork), Turkey necks & Soul, I had to order another bowl to go. The service was great – very welcoming! We will come again.

I did Uber didn’t even know they so close to me!! I’m in Union City.This was SO GOOD!!!!! I ordered fish but couldn’t stop eating it to get picture … lol Everything seasoned to perfection, spicy red beans w/rice . The cornbread was moist and delicious! The corn perfect with the meal! …. I gotta find this location. I got my beads with meal too! Nice touch!!!

I had to wait til the 2nd time I visited to write this, cause just like one of the other folks here I got so excited to try this po’boy the first time that I forgot to take a picture! Absolutely incredible, this sausage po’boy is phenomenal, and while I’m not really a seafood guy, my friend said the same of the shrimp one. Plus, they are so kind here! I expect I’ll quickly end up a regular here.

This was my first time going to this restaurant and I ordered catfish aside a cornbread a side of collard greens and a side of shrimp and the food was extremely to him to my surprise seeing that was from a Louisiana swing. I expect it be so much better. The red beans and rice was overly spicy for me The shrimp was rubbery or touto, the collar greens had a not so good and bland taste, the cornbread was dry and crumbly. And The dipping sauce for shrimp taste like mayonnaise which made me gag
they only gave you one piece of Catfish with the meal and it wasn’t all that neither! So and I paid $31 bucks for this horrible and dissatisfying meal. I would give this restaurant a thumbs down but at least it was clean inside of the restaurant. I do not expect to return unless I hear better reviews from Establishment. A very disappointed customer:(

This was my first time trying Papa Roy’s Louisiana Kitchen and I was very satisfied! Customer service was great from the order over the phone to the pick up. I ordered the sexy shrimp po boy and it was so delicious!

I ordered thru Uber eats! The boudin balls burnt and my red beans and rice with smoked turkey necks and sausage I had no sausage or smoked turkey necks! I had this before and they were good! Not today they were not great! The delivery on Uber eats was excellent! I’m not sure if I will go back if you seen the boudin balls were burnt why you serve them! And you seen I ordered the red bean and rice with smoked turkey necks and sausage but didn’t give any! I will say the cornbread was really good!

First time visitor and everybody knows Louisiana can cook, but idk about this place… I ordered the shrimp basket and my friend ordered the gumbo. My chief complaint are the fries! The inconsistency of the fries were horrible. I’m almost certain that mine were cooked at separate times; most were very hot and grossly undercooked while the rest were lukewarm and over cooked. The shrimp were as described in previous reviews; it was very rubbery, almost no moisture left after frying and to be honest, not very flavorful, but that could be due to rubbery texture.
