We had a fantastic experience at this new Greek spot! Every dish we ordered was delicious — you could taste the quality and freshness of the ingredients in every bite. The portions were generous.

I recently visited this newly opened restaurant and had a great experience. The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere was clean and comfortable.

I met my husband here for lunch, and everything we ordered was delicious. This is the best Greek food we’ve had outside of Greece. Authentic, simple, excellent. We will be back to try more of the menu!

We had the crispy potato croquettes and grilled octopus, which tasted like lobster—it was absolutely delicious. We also had the char-grilled chicken and small Greek salads; the Greek cheese was what we needed to give the salad that kiss of perfection. We also had the bubbly flights. To top it off, we had Greek ice cream, and WOW! Please ask for it when you want dessert. Miro and Goodman were excellent hosts.

This weekend marked the soft opening of Lavanta, a new restaurant in the Estudillo Estates neighborhood of San Leandro, and what a wonderful addition it is. The Greek food is outstanding—fresh, high-quality, and beautifully prepared. The wine list is excellent (they even offer a flight of three wines), and the restaurant’s design and ambiance are elegant and welcoming.
Chef Noah and the owners, Sultana and Mustafa, have done an incredible job bringing this place to life. They are warm, gracious, and clearly passionate about what they’ve created. I’m genuinely thrilled to have a new restaurant like this in the neighborhood—hands down better quality than Paradiso. Try it and judge for yourself based on the facts.
Food: We started with incredibly creamy, flavorful hummus served with fresh bread. For our mains, we had Souvlaki- lamb and wild boar, each with a side. We chose rice and a Greek salad—the feta was perfectly balanced, the olives and lettuce exceptionally fresh, with parsley and cherry tomatoes adding brightness. To our surprise, they also treated us to complimentary dolmadakias and mussels. Wow. Everything was remarkably tasty
I enjoyed a glass of Greek Chardonnay and Merlot—both absolutely excellent and easily comparable to great California wines.
I truly invite you to visit #Lavanta, enjoy the delicious food, and decide for yourself.

Excellent food – simple ingredients and elegant flavors. The red pepper peach sauce for the meats was incredible and everything was perfectly cooked. Service was superb and the redesign of the space is amazing – everything perfectly lit.

My husband and I went to Lavanta Mezze Bar restaurant last Sunday and we ordered the Lavanta Feast! Wow, this is enough food to feed up to six people. The dinner includes two rice bowls, two potato bowls, and six skewers of different meats, wild boar, chicken,steak, lamb, mushroom and shrimp. I enjoyed all of them. I’m not normally so adventurous with food. I also ordered the lemon soup because I’m such a soup fan. Services wonderful, friendly, and prompt. I also tried a Greek beer for the first time and enjoyed that as well. They do have salt and pepper on the table just in case you would like a little bit more spice. What a beautiful restaurant family owned. I will be back to try other things.
