Olivera is an Italian-inspired, coastal restaurant in Manly, serving vibrant plates, spritzes and relaxed seaside vibes. Proudly owner-operated and under new ownership, we focus on warm, genuine hospitality and memorable dining from breakfast through to dinner.

We just had dinner here tonight to celebrate our 1 WEEK wedding anniversary and DAMN… everything was absolutely beautiful! We had Nonna’s Table – house focaccia, calamari, local fish crudo, Sicilian olive tapenade, arrosticini, risotto di funghi, vendura, tagliata, insalata di casa, scarpetta, and dolce del giorno.
The lamb skewers with hot honey were mind-blowing and soooo tender. The calamari and baby squid were honestly the best we’ve ever eaten. The kingfish was so light and fresh, and the focaccia was perfectly toasted – crunchy yet soft – unreal dipped into the hot honey sauce. And the risotto? Hands down one of the tastiest dishes we’ve had in ages.
This was our first visit since the new management took over, and it has officially become our new Friday night local. The energy here is beautiful – fairy lights, great music, stunning staff, and attentive service. Everything just feels magic. Can’t recommend it enough and can’t wait to come back!

Had breakfast here yesterday after the Sunday Markets. The breakfast menu wasn’t your usual breakfast menu, had your traditional breakfast dishes you’d find at other cafes but with their own spin on it. The eggs Benedict was simple but very tasty and the Bambino is a good size and offering for young children. Coffee was good and lovely old style cup they was served in.
Lovely views of the markets and Manly boat Harbour.
Would recommend going back for breakfast and I am keen to go back for dinner.

Today, I visited the restaurant to celebrate a friend’s birthday.
Evie, who served us, was incredibly friendly and attentive. She asked about our preferences and recommended cocktails that were absolutely perfect.
Every dish from the chef was amazing, both in presentation and taste. The calamari, in particular, was excellent—the coating and seasoning were just right, and I couldn’t stop eating it. The beef steak was also incredibly tender and flavorful, leaving a strong impression.
With such high-quality food and great service, I’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommended!

Olivera is a lovely cafe / restaurant located in Wynnum. The coffee ☕️ was very good. The cafe was nice and clean and well presented. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Surprisingly the cafe was empty (Tuesday morning) which is never a good sign.

Absolutely loved our long lunch at Olivera last Friday. The standout was the Fish and Chips’. It has a surprising twist! Delicious food and a lovely environment. We’ll be back for the $12 spritz again!!

New name and new owners who know exactly what they’re doing!! Amazing service, beautiful interior, stunning view and THE BEST RISOTTO IN BRISBANE!! If you’re in the Bayside area you have to call in for lunch or dinner and a sneaky vino! Olivera is definitely going to be a local favourite!!

Great location, great atmosphere & dishes look great, but spaghetti was swimming in the butterly sauce, gnocchi was too small for the price, no visible seafood as all in gnocchi, and burrata dish lacked freshness as just cheese and pesto. Too expensive for what we had. Rooms to improve

I just dined at Olivera with my parents for a simple lunch, and unfortunately, the experience was a mix of highs and lows. The customer service was shockingly poor, starting from the moment we arrived. We were met with reluctance and hesitation when we asked for a table for three, and it felt like they didn’t want to accommodate us at all. Throughout the meal, our table was consistently ignored, and the staff seemed uninterested in engaging with us. We were never asked about the quality of the service or our satisfaction with the meal. It was disheartening to witness other tables receiving attentive and friendly service, while we were met with rude and dismissive behavior. To make matters worse, after requesting the bill, the staff said they would bring the machine, but after waiting over 10 minutes, I realized the payment had already been processed without informing me. On a positive note, the food was amazing and absolutely up to standard. The ingredients were fresh, and the pork from the large plate was a definite highlight – succulent, juicy, and maintaining the right temperature. The experience concluded with no farewell, just a continuation of the horrible customer service we had endured throughout the meal. While the food was excellent, the lack of basic courtesy made for an unpleasant atmosphere, and I sincerely hope the restaurant addresses these service issues to ensure a more welcoming and respectful dining experience for all customers.

I visited Olivera with a group of four, and since we have a few dietary requirements, I emailed ahead to confirm if the set menu could accommodate us. The restaurant replied saying they could cater to all our allergies and preferences – great!
When we arrived, I reminded our server about the dietary needs. She had not insignificant food stains on her blazer and shirt, which didn’t make the best first impression and didn’t look fresh. She checked with the chef and came back saying they couldn’t cater to us under the set menu after all. I politely let her know that was disappointing, especially since we’d confirmed in advance, but said we’d just order from the à la carte menu, as she suggested.
A few minutes later, another staff member (possibly the manager) came over and told us they could in fact cater for us under the set menu. The back-and-forth was frustrating and could’ve easily been avoided with better communication.
The food itself was excellently presented and looked beautiful on the plate, but the flavours didn’t quite match the visuals – it was fine, but nothing that stood out. I did enjoy the dessert – but others at my table did not at all. The scungy outdoor bathroom was also a bit off-putting.
Overall, not somewhere we’d return to, but we’re still keen to try Wang Chung nearby – we LOVED The Arsonist next door.
