I’m a self proclaimed chef and travel the world. At times marginal at best. This is an exception. The Cassado Carne was unbelievable with the tender beef onions and peppers. The savory sauce wants you to slap the back of your brain with your tongue. No doubt one of the best of multiple trips to Costa Rica. A hidden gem.

One of the last true local bars in Playas del Coco. Beats any bar in Coco. They have a great sound system, ambience, and staff. I’ve only seen females working here which always make me feel better about the cleanliness of things. However, they could do better in the restrooms.
They have a good variety of food. I tried patacones and the ceviche. Super tasty and fresh.
Would highly recommend to any tourist looking for a real pura vida experience.

Great food, local bar. Typical local spot. As a frequent visitor to Costa Rica this was exactly what I was looking for. Above average service, excellent food (Casado & ceviche), beachfront. Local tunes, dogs, and unbeatable view. I did not want to be in Americanized resteraunt in coco. Was perfect. Two beer each & lunch for <20,000.

We came down daily from our condo at Cocomarindo for beers and ceviche. They have excellent ceviche and friendly staff even though we don’t speak Spanish. Great view and definitely a locals bar but that is what we like.

Music blasting makes it difficult to enjoy. Food is good. They cheat you at check out by charging higher prices than printed on the menu. They also add a “service charge” of 10% to further cheat you. There are better places to go on this beach that don’t cheat you.
