The food was very good with large portions for a good price, and my dad claims it’s been that way every time he’s been.
For around $55, we had the chili garlic Edamame, the gyoza, the tofu pho, and the brisket pho with extra noodles and veg and chili oil, and two drinks. We both had enough leftovers to make an entire meal, the servings are so large. From previous visits, my family recommends the spring rolls, egg rolls, cucumber rolls, and stir fry.
The restaurant has a spacious layout that would be easy for someone with mobility aids or a wheelchair to navigate, and the women’s bathroom is large enough to accommodate a wheelchair as well. I assume the mens restroom is the same.
I didn’t see any large print or braille menus, and the music was louder than needed, so could pose a sensory issue for those sensitive to loud spaces.
There were several clearly marked vegetarian options on the menu, and the woman who served us was very kind and answered all the questions I had.
I would recommend this restaurant to anyone.
We had eaten here about two years ago and it was some of the best sushi and service we have had. Unfortunately, it’s taken a massive shift in the opposite direction.
We don’t crave sushi often, but when we do, we enjoy it, and we thought we found a new place.
It was amazing the first time. Sat at the bar, spoke to the co-owner. The sushi was some of the best we had, and the chef made it right in front of us, almost like an artist showing his craft. It was delicious and great to talk to him.
Second time, we did a to-go order. They forgot some spring rolls, which wasn’t a big deal, it happens. I went back and got them with a sincere apology on their end.
Third time, they didn’t have my order ready and it wasn’t even started on, so I was told it would be 30~ minutes or so, so I waited in the parking lot and eventually went back in and took delivery of it, only to be told by the nice young lady up front that the kitchen was messing with her and it was actually ready(?)
Fourth time was tonight. Ordered it for a special event to celebrate, showed up and picked it up, got home, and it was just rancid. The tuna had a sour taste to it, it was completely room-temp (we live 7 minutes away), the sprouts were completely brown, and it was just worrisome, and none of the rolls were remotely good. We ended up trashing them after eating just a couple pieces and are now are filing a dispute with our bank to get our money back, which we have never done before.
It is truly disappointing with how good of a first impression we received, to be followed up with 3 separate dissapointing visits to follow.
