Mrs. Mildred’s Kitchen is a family business named after our Dad’s love of our Mother’s cooking. He was so fond of her delicious meals that he would post pictures on social media and say it came from Mrs. Mildred’s Kitchen. Sadly, dad passed away in 2018 from ALS. For a while, it was difficult for mom to find joy in cooking. Out of love for our mother, we as a family decided to bring her wonderful flavors to what is now Mrs. Mildred’s Kitchen. We are a very close family, who will find any reason to get together and cook. Mom taught us how to cook with love and it shows in the scratch recipes we use to create the menu we are proud to serve to you. Thanks for sharing a meal with our family!

Unfortunately, we didn’t catch her name, but the woman running it embodies the definition of joyfulness!! She was so kind, explained anything we wanted to know, and gave us samples. It is the kind of customer service that has started to leave our culture, and it was a refreshing experience to have it back!
We ate lunch here around 11:30am on a Tuesday, and everything we ate was delish! It’s the kind of food that makes you want to dance! I had the brisket sandwich with the corn casserole side. The brisket was melt in your mouth tender! It did have too much fat on it for me, but others may like that. Not to mention it’s easy to pull off. The corn casserole is basically cornbread with whole pieces of corn. It had flavor and was delicious!
My husband had the spicy brisket sandwich with mac n cheese. The spicy brisket tastes like it gets the heat from jalapenos. Neither of us are very big on that flavor, so this was our least favorite thing we ate. We were expecting it to have spicy BBQ sauce instead. But it was spicy and the meat was cooked well! The mac n cheese was homemade and amazing!
We shared a chicken leg and banana gooey cake. BUY BOTH OF THESE!!! The gooey cakes are delightful! The chicken leg was everything you would want in chicken cooked on a grill! It was fall off the bone tender, juicy, and full of flavor delishness. My husband doesn’t care for dark meat that much, and we fought over it !
If we could critique 1 thing, it would be that they didn’t have homemade sweet tea. All their drinks are bottled, which is understandable. But having homemade tea would push them over the top!!

I was at a remote location and I was reluctant to get a plate because I know and heard that the plates were possibly on a pricey side. Once I see a plate from a fellow friend who brought one back to a class I am in with in Arkansas, I was convinced that it was worth the price because the amount of food for the price for the plate had me taken back because I couldn’t eat all that was served to me. I have been in food service for quite some time and made a career move and miss the food service world at times like these. I definitely will want to see this place out if I were to pass through here in Springdale, AR. Kudos to Miss Mildred’s Kitchen for reminding me of back home in Nashville, TN. Love the food and will miss the authentic soul food I was raised on as a youngster when I leave here in March. Keep up the awesome work because it shows in the presentation when I got my plate. I DO and WILL recommend anyone with a taste of OUTSTANDING Soul Food, you need to visit this place, you won’t regret it.

First off this place is such a treasure. Customer service is amazing. The lady serving us (I am bummed I didn’t catch her name) was so warm and inviting. We got the Party Y’all platter and it’s such a great deal for what’s included. It can be shared! Everything tasted delicious and my bf and I didn’t really talk because we were GRUBBING Everything is seasoned to perfection and has that yummy smokey flavor! I highly recommend this place and have become a new regular. Blessings to this family and their business

First and foremost, GREAT customer service and clarity when discussing menu and options. This is one of four food trucks nestled near 6. I ordered the rib plate, and it did not disappoint!!! Plenty of ribs. Ribs were meaty & tender, slightly sweet, basted but very also a hint of peppered spice. Potato salad was diced and chunky(very summer salad/egg salad) with paprika, relish very vegetarian friendly. Baked beans had a mild spice and brown sugar and were a mix of beans that complimented each other very well. The corn was a baked squared muffin moist and a little on the sweeter side. Definitely coming back!

Haywood is available to explain all menu items in addition to making suggestions that may fit your mood. Everything is made or prepared fresh for Saturday and Sunday sales only. If you want a Ooeey Cake you better get there as soon as they open or you’ll be out of luck.

I had made a similar creation in regards to the Mac and Beans Bowl, but I didn’t consider adding bbq to it. His son did excellent with accidental meal option. I definitely will return to check out the sandwiches and ribs. Sauce is served on the side in order for customers to enjoy the fusion of seasonings used to have your palate salivating for more.

I ordered the chicken platter, which came with 3 nice size chicken legs and 2 sides. The sides I ordered were corn casserole and macaroni and cheese. The chicken, corn casserole, and the macaroni and cheese were amazing! Everything was well seasoned and fresh. You can tell that they cook with love. Further, the customer service was outstanding! They communicate effectively, laugh with you, are always smiling, and believe in southern hospitality. I highly recommend Mrs. Mildred’s Kitchen! The fact that they are a Black owned business makes everything so much better! The prices are affordable, the portions are big, and the dessert is wonderful. I’m not a big fan of strawberry anything, in general, BUT when I tried the strawberry gooey cake, that first bite had me reevaluating whether I really was not a fan of strawberry desserts. The strawberry gooey cake is so good!!! If you haven’t tried Mrs. Mildred’s Kitchen, please try it because you will not be disappointed. 10 out of 10 and I highly recommend!

We got the jalapeño cheddar links with the brisket 10/10, the Mac and cheese 10/10, greeens 10/-10!!! I ordered their orange gooie cake 10/10 and we was gifted a red velvet gooie 10/10!!!!! Don’t miss out ❤️
