The Epiphany Colada was a standout—smooth and layered with Planteray Stiggins Pineapple Rum, Haitian rum, Grand Marnier, lemon, coconut , and ube. Sweet but balanced, tropical without being overpowering. The Mai Tai was just as solid—classic, strong, and perfectly mixed.
For food, the Grilled Adobo Marinated Flank Steak was tender with bold seasoning, paired perfectly with confit piquillo peppers, charred broccolini, and a bright salsa verde that tied everything together. The Line-Caught Gulf Fish was fresh and flaky, elevated by cauliflower, Castelvetrano olives , toasted pine nuts, and a rich brown-butter vinaigrette —chef’s kiss.
Great atmosphere, attentive service, and creative menu without losing Southern comfort vibes. Definitely a spot I’d return to when I’m back in New Orleans.
Unfortunately, one staff member significantly disrupted the experience. She approached our table without speaking, reached across us to remove plates while we were still eating, and returned later to grab items again without acknowledgment. When I asked her not to, she responded with visible irritation, eye-rolling and audibly sucking her teeth.
When I requested a manager, our server mentioned there had already been complaints. During my conversation with the manager, the rude staff member returned to our table, hands balled in fists and had to be asked to leave. It took the manager several minutes to get her to walk away.
While we didn’t let it completely ruin the evening, we did cut our visit short as she was near the buffet when we went to get more food.
While we received a round of comped drinks, that in no way makes up for the encounter. One person’s lack of professionalism—and the manager’s inability to effectively address it—made this experience disappointing. I’m hesitant to return, as encountering that staff member again would be enough to turn us away.
I had a banana waffle which would have been good on its own but they put some overly dense cream, and too much sugar on it ruining the dish in an excess of sugar. Nice spot though, and I had a good cappuccino.
One star off for service as it appears short staffed every morning. We have to wait for 10+ min to get seated multiple times despite plentiful of empty tables.
