Sushi By Us exceeded every expectation we had. We visited on Valentine’s Day—their very first day open—and what an unforgettable experience it was. From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed with warmth and treated with genuine care and attention throughout the entire evening.
Every dish was a masterpiece. The Dynamite Roll—with its perfectly grilled crab, crispy topping, and rich clarified butter—was absolutely divine. The Salmon Crispy Rice delivered the perfect balance of crunch and spice, while the O-Toro nigiri and Wagyu nigiri were nothing short of luxurious, melting in your mouth with incredible flavor. The Fuji Roll, short rib baos, and sirloin fried rice continued the journey of bold, beautifully crafted tastes.
And just when we thought it couldn’t get better, the Matcha Lava Cake closed the night on a sweet, elegant note.

Such a secluded atmosphere, the mood with the tranquil music with a bit of energy, the service is so clean, hospitable, and polite. From the colors and decor, the presentation in the dishes, glasses, and drinks.
The food is so fresh and explosive in flavors.
I love sushi and this is definitely an experience and great quality. Ana was spectacular and Johan is always helpful. Diana is always doing her job checking on everyone and tables.
The drinks were divine-I tried the Yunomi with a melon taste and fun bubble affect to pop!
The 2nd drink since I love Mezcal was the Shiso smoke(such a presentation in a dumpling dish with smoke escaping).
Food was the appetizers of Dinamita roll & salmon crispy rice…chefs kiss.

We recently tried Sushi By Us and ordered the $60 Moriwase along with the salmon crispy rice appetizer.
First off — the service was great. Our server, Ana, was attentive, kind, and made the experience feel welcoming. The presentation of the dishes is beautiful and thoughtfully done.
The food was good overall. The moriwase offered a nice variety, and paired with the salmon crispy rice, it was more than enough for two people — especially if you add an appetizer and dessert. Portion-wise, it’s a great value.
My only personal critique would be the pico-style topping they add to some of the sushi. While it’s fresh, the flavor is quite strong and tends to overpower the fish a bit, making several pieces taste similar. I would personally love the option to have it without that topping to let the sushi flavors shine more individually.
One standout was their house-made hot sake. It’s definitely a level up from traditional hot sake — very smooth and well done.
Overall, a beautiful new addition to the New Orleans sushi scene with great service and thoughtful presentation. I’ll be back!

Atmosphere was spot on! The theme is very clear and everything from the music to the menu font matched. Our server Ana was attentive and very knowledgeable about the menus. The food presentation was awesome; be aware that the plates are on the smaller side and meant for sharing. Cocktails and sake were well paired and included a handy visual guide for which cocktails go with different food items.
