Personally, I think the dry mixed noodles taste better than the soup noodles—maybe because I like stronger flavors. But it’s always crowded and there’s pretty much always a line, so you’ll need to be patient if you want to eat there. A solid beef noodle soup contender in the Peninsula. Visited with my family on a rainy day. There was a line to wait but we were seated in a reasonable time. It seems to be locally and family-owned. The noodles were hand pulled, meat was tender, and broth was savory/flavorful. Many other noodle options too like dandan mian and malatang. I thought the appetizers like the pig ears in chili oil and pork buns were good… pig ears were a bit chewier than my liking, though. Definitely not my favorite but it is absolutely up there.

Finally found a great bowl of beef noodle soup in San Mateo! This relatively new restaurant is located on 25th Avenue. Small but very clean interior. The beef was tender, soup was very flavorful, and the texture of the knife-cut thick noodles was perfect. One of the best places if you are craving beef noodle soup!
