Beautiful place with friendly staff, amazing wine and incredible food! I wish we were local so we could become regulars! The food is also very reasonably priced. My wife and I enjoyed the atmosphere greatly!

Nice place, good service. Food is good. It’s out of the tourist area, which is nice 20 mins from downtown easy to drive. Same owner for 41 years.

They advertise they are open until 930 so at 8 I drove 30 min to get some good food.

When I arrived I was ignored by the first staff members and left standing at the counter.

I ended up walking into the kitchen and asking if they were still open. They let me know they closed the kitchen already…. an hour early.

Wow, the food is just great. I came on a whim, not knowing what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised by the delicious wine. The food was delicious and was actually cooked very well. The steak is where they earn their five stars from me. It was cooked perfectly on the inside and on the outside; tasted exactly like what a steak should taste like. The seafood was cooked properly and they have a good wine selection. The staff was all pleasant and polite. And the drive is just beautiful.

This was the first time we visited. It will definitely be the last. The hostess had no personality but our server was very friendly and efficient. The food though. Man it was bad. No flavor at all. My husband and I both had the seafood saute. We were pretty excited to try it until the dish came out. The entree consisted of 2 small crab leg, 3 shrimp, 3 scallop and one tiny (1.5 inch, no lie)piece of cod. It was super overcooked and was swimming in a weird watery substance. If that wasn’t bad enough, the side dish was spaghetti noodles with red sauce that tasted canned. This was $29. For that kind of money, if you aren’t going to have substance to the meal, hire a chef that knows how to cook. I wouldn’t mind paying that price for great food.
The restaurant had 3 tables so it wasn’t because it was busy.
We did tell the server that the food was awful. She said the cook offered a free dessert. Lol. Like I wanted a bad dessert after a bad meal.
My advice is to the restaurant is to reconsider the chef. My advice to you is avoid an overpriced, underwhelming meal here.

Don’t bother.

My wife and I went to the Vallata for the first time in 15 years. The last time we were there we told the waiter our (eggplant) dinner was undercooked. He retreated to the kitchen and returned moments later and told us it was fine. We took it home and finished baking it.

After our long hiatus we thought we should give them another chance. The food was mediocre, service poor and atmosphere as stale as the cigarette smoke soaked walls. I ordered a dinner salad that was the same size as my wife’s side salad but with 4 tomatoes and double the carrot sticks. The hostess asked if that was all I was going to have. I told her I expected a dinner salad would be, well, dinner.

Unless I feel the need to visit the same ripped carpet I tripped on 15 years ago, I am sure I will never go back. Spend your money at the drive-up Thai food place down the street. Much friendlier and better food.

Very intimate and warm. I recommend making a reservation, the food is excellent. Only open for dinner and the dessert menu is short. Other than that I highly recommend this place for anyone. There is a full bar and family dinning area with great staff and great food. There is even a piano that gets played every so often.

We went to Vallata to celebrate my birthday. My husband wanted something romantic and this place was anything but. When we got there, it appeared there was one other table, a table of six. We were sat two tables behind them. As they were a larger group, they were very loud and I could hear pretty much every word of the conversation. Our waitress was nice. She did not tell us sodas were not free refills, but that’s not a huge deal. Our food was ok. I wouldn’t rush back there based on that. At the end of the meal the hostess asked if I wanted my potato in a box and I said that I didn’t, I didn’t enjoy the potato and didn’t want to take it home. This was after our waitress had already come and taken what I wanted boxed. She then, without asking if we were finished with everything on the table, began cleaning up around me and reaching in front of me. It felt like there were more than one people cleaning and rushing us out. A hot towel came with the crab legs that I was unable to use because she took it. When I got home I had diarrhea from what I can only assume was the food. I was very disappointed. For the price and quality of everything we will likely not be back.
