Arrr, Papa John’s Pizza be a trusty port for any hungry pirate seekin’ a warm, cheesy treasure! The crust be soft yet sturdy, the sauce rich as a hidden chest o’ gold, and the toppings piled high like plunder ready to be devoured. The crew be quick and friendly, servin’ yer feast with care whether ye dine in or have it delivered straight to yer quarters. A fine spot to satisfy yer cravings after a long voyage. 4 stars is because it is corporate and the garlic sauce is so awful for a person BUT I have to admit they do a pretty damn good NY style pizza. Perfect bendability even with a so so flavor. They also actually put on extra cheese like I asked. May not be the best but it is certainly worth getting and there’s usually one around.

Been buying from them for over 30 years. Always enjoyed Papa John’s pizza over others. Wife and I ordered each our own the we share later. We ordered early ,got a Shak pizza and another one. We went and got them wanted them hot for our early dinner. I took a piece for mind and it didn’t taste right. Had a vinegar taste to it. Tried my wife’s and it was the same. I told her I couldn’t eat it. She said she thought hers was a little strange also. We were tired and blamed some of the bad taste on that but the next day we got into them again and it was the same way. Didn’t finish them through them away. We normally don’t complain so we didn’t. But after spending $35 i decided to call the Mgr. And just tell him what happened and that he was losing a long term customer. Well as soon as I said that maybe something was spoiled he cut me off and just began to give me all the reasons why nothing could be spoiled. And said I should have called sooner. Told him we don’t complain but after $35 I just wanted him to know he lost a customer. Then sitting there listening to him reas me the riot act I thought boy that was wrong on his part. He did say if I had called sooner maybe he could have done something about it. I told him I didn’t call for him to do something about it I just wanted him to know he lost a long term relationship customer. He said oh …he was sorry buy nothing he could do. I again said I didn’t call to have him do something just to listen ..and to tell him we knew the difference between a good tasting pizza and a bad one and to stand there and to say there’s nothing that could go wrong on there end….hey leave something set out to long that should be refrigerated would cause it. But he was sure nothing on his end could be wrong with the dough and I didn’t even get a chance to tell him it was the dough but I thought it was the sauce or the cheese. Just wanted to put this out there because of the poor attitude of the manager towards a customer….we have decided not to get anymore from this store.

I was picking up a carry out and I had my 3 year old in tote. I walked in and I wish for the life of me I would have got the man’s name, however, there were 3 guys in the back talking and another man who looked like he might have been getting a delivery together. The man who was getting the delivery together looked over at the other guys and said hey you have a customer. They didn’t budge, so he came over and got my name and asked if it was a pick up. He went over to look at the pizzas and called one of the other guys over. He said hey I just want to make sure I’m doing the right thing. The guy comes over like ok, what? she’s good to go….. I went to get the pizzas and the man who came over to help in the beginning grabbed my pizzas and said he would bring them out for me. He took my pizzas all the way to my car and sat them in the car for me. This man was so kind!! Thank you again sir!

Can’t call actual restaurant to order food. Have to go through painful automated system. Pizza seriously inconsistent. One NY style I got was good, the next one was hardly even cooked I had to throw it in the oven at my house after opening it up and seeing it was raw dough. Just pay a bit more and order from Longos

I go to Papa John’s, my girls like the pizza very much so! We tend to get the Epic pepperoni which the crust is stuffed. I’m not much of a pizza eater but I have tried this one and it is really good! The service is really good too! We tend to go to the Papa John’s over near Lakeshore and 305 across the street from Speedway on Lakeshore in Mentor this location the staff is really nice:-)

Ordered a pizza from them. It arrived, and on the box there was a promotion *printed* right on the lid – if the Indians win by 5 or more runs, you get half off your pizza the next day. Well, the previous day, the Indians had won by more than 5 runs… and when I ordered, nobody informed me of this promotion. Yet they delivered a pizza to me that advertised it. I called the store and the employee said that he was sorry, and that they should have informed me. He spoke with the manager, and the manager said it only applies to online orders and not orders that have been phoned in. The employee went on to say there was nothing they could do for me, because the order was already processed in their system. Really? And it’s not like their pizza is all that cheap. It was $16 for one large pizza.
I didn’t like the way they handled the situation. The pizza tasted fine, but absolutely nothing was done other than a half-hearted apology. The manager never came on the phone.
I’ve been doing business with this particular Papa John’s location on and off for many years. They’ve messed up before, including forgetting to deliver my pizza altogether once (this was a few years ago). This instance was the last straw for me – I won’t be back.
