Sweet Fire
I ordered spicy house fried rice. It’s my staple go-to for takeout. It’s been awhile since I’ve had it and I usually go to a place closer to home but I wanted to give this place a try. The dish was not bad, but my stars reflect the quality and flavor in my opinion and comparing to all the other house fried rice I’ve had and other places.
I was disappointed to find that there is an extra charge to get any sauce outside of soy sauce. That was a first for me. You are also not told that when you are asked if you want sauce. I had to ask if there was a charge.
There is also nowhere to sit inside and eat. If you are stopping for lunch and didn’t want to sit outside then be prepped to sit in a car. The only booth was reserved for employees only. I was miles from home and only able to stop for a short time. Something like house fried rice in the takeout container may spoil over, it’s not ideal to have to eat in my car. Upside of that is that the container was stuffed to the brim. Very generous for the price.
All in all this is a mid level Chinese takeout.
The person who helped me was polite.

This place is a hidden gem! Started coming here in 2015 when I got a flyer in the mail. I was looking for good Chineese food that wasn’t bland and watered down. This place was it! Always large portions also. I would eat here just about every week for close to 10 years. The owner is great, we always chat when I come in to pick up my food. A truly underrated place to eat. The only downside is there is no dine in.

The food is always hot and delicious. I grew up eating Chinese and Japanese food and I’m glad that I have a “go to” place here in Reno. I’ve never been disappointed!

The sweet and sour chicken was 80% breaded covering. When you could find chicken it was dry and tasteless
The fried rice was ok
The chow Mein was decent
The almond cookie was ok. Nothing like it should have been
The moo shu chicken was average
If you like large portions and mediocre food this is your place

I’d probably give this spot a two and a half. They seemed like a good spot to try out, but half of their specials they dont honor. They’re in store menu says 20 dollar orders for delivery. Online it says 25 dollars for delivery. The store wasnt willing to work with me as far as being able to make a platter of half and half chow main and fried rice, and I spent 27 dollars on a very small portion of food that didnt taste the best. The chinese stores at the mall are way more affordable and honestly have more flavor.

Uber just delivered your House Fried Rice. Rice is ok but not great but the over microwaved meat in the dish is awful – cannot chew it at all because you’ve turned it to rubber. AND, the chicken has gone bad . . . really disgusting so the whole meal has to be tossed – and I’m really hungry . . .

The food is wonderful with excellent portions. I often eat half and store the rest later. Also, great veritable portions. After ordering the foods is ready in ten minutes, which compared to other places, is really fast. This is a take out only place, hence the lower atmosphere. If you want some extra spice, you can request it. But be warned it comes out spicy, which is how I love it. Highly recommended.

We were driving through town and my husband wanted Chinese food, so I started looking around and found this little gem. We ordered egg foo young, fried rice, egg rolls and hot and sour soup. Wow everything was so good and very friendly. Thank you
