We had very high hopes for the social but we ended up disappointed and still hungry. All of the portions were so small and SO expensive. The cocktails being $19 and not top shelf is incredibly off putting.
I ordered a fish dish with a risotto. The fish was bland and the risotto was oddly sweet and undercooked. This dish was $49 and for the price we paid, I believe the quality of food and size of portions should be better.
We then waited close to 15 minutes just to receive our check. While we waited, the patrons at the bar and another table were incredibly rowdy watching the football game. I was a bit confused if this was a sports bar or a more upscale restaurant. For $49 a plate I didn’t think we would be in that atmosphere. We did appreciate our waiter – he was very friendly and seemed very overwhelmed by having so many tables.
Insignia is literally right down the street, I would just spend the extra hundred dollars and go there.

My husband and I came here for date night, Wednesday night & we really enjoyed it. Looking forward to coming back with some friends for their DJ on Friday nights. The ambiance was perfect, the drinks were delicious. My husband got the old fashion and I got the social martini. We enjoyed our meals, he got the filet and I got the skirt steak with the mushroom risotto. We also enjoyed the ceviche and french onion for our apps! What really made me want to write a review was our service! We had Mika (I hope I’m spelling that right). She was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. We were very indecisive on what to try because they have a nice big selection on their menu so we went

Came here on a Sunday afternoon for a late lunch/early dinner. It was pretty dark inside with a DJ blasting music, making it feel more like a club. The club vibe felt very random for the location and the time of day. I ordered the boneless buffalo wings, which were not enjoyable. My 2 friends and I both agreed that it was the strangest breading, feeling more like calamari texture. My friends also did not enjoy their meals.

Everything was amazing. The drinks were delicious and perfectly made, and the food was full of flavor. We all loved the place — the atmosphere was cozy, the service was attentive and quick, and every detail was just right.

We went there to celebrate our friend birthday this past Sunday. Unfortunately we did not have the best experience. The music was great, the dj was on point. They took so long to take our order and refill our unlimited mimosas we didn’t really like that at all so we just got appetizers so we can leave as soon as possible. The place is beautiful but the service was wack and the restaurant wasn’t even full.

My mother & I have been looking to try different brunch spots every weekend and this was a lovely pick! The furniture and design of the location was beautiful. The chairs were very luxurious and comfortable, and they have areas to hang out and watch games on the TV, or play some chess! Our waiter was very sweet, and took the time to put a show on for my son while we ate. The TVs look like paintings and absolutely fooled me! The service was amazing, and the food was delicious. I ordered a steak and eggs and my mother ordered the social plate I believe, and some chocolate chip pancakes. All the food came out great and they were lovely enough to bring us more eggs. I highly recommend trying this location for brunch! I would love to return for some dinner and plan on doing so soon. We normally try to get great pictures of our food but it looked so yummy we dug in as soon as our plates arrived. Thank you for your great food and service! We hope to see this establishment thrive.

Went here the day after Valentines Day. Really cool vibe on the inside. Bar was nice, cocktails were really good and the food was Amazing!!! Highly reccomend the chicken empanadas and mozzerella squares. Service was really good, we had “Alicia” I believe her name was. Never had to really ask for anything and the owner Anthony was very present making sure his guests were taken care of. Will definitely be back.

Social is an absolute gem and a standout addition to the Hauppauge dining scene. My wife and I stopped in late Thursday afternoon and were immediately struck by the beautiful décor—warm, elegant, and thoughtfully designed throughout both the bar and dining areas.
From the moment we walked in, we felt genuinely welcomed. Co-owner Christine personally greeted us and could not have been more gracious, friendly, and accommodating. The bartender, Richie, was outstanding—very personable and clearly skilled, making excellent cocktails that were perfectly balanced and well-crafted.
We sampled several appetizers, all of which were delicious and beautifully prepared. While we haven’t yet ordered entrées, a recent Instagram video showcasing their food left a strong impression: generous portions and dishes that looked exceptional. We also had the pleasure of meeting the other owner, Anthony (Christine’s husband), who was equally warm, attentive, and engaged—clearly passionate about the experience they are creating.
The menu offers many interesting and appealing options, and we are already looking forward to returning for dinner. Whether you’re stopping in for expertly made drinks at the bar or planning a full dining experience, Social is an excellent choice. Highly recommended—we will absolutely be back.
