Stopped by Brightside Cafe for a business meeting with my friend Tom Roznowski to discuss authentic AI. What a great spot for it!
Tom ordered the grilled cheese and wow, just look at that thing. Golden, crispy, and oozing with melty cheese. He even shared some of his salty potato chips with me (super generous guy). I went with the tomato basil soup and it had great flavor, creamy and perfectly seasoned. The gluten-free bread paired really well with it.
A perfect place for a business meeting or to catch up with old friends. Highly recommend!

Absolutely love the food here. Came here randomly for breakfast (take away) and I was not disappointed. Coffee (Had a Iced Dirty Chai – $6) was excellent, Quiche was very rich (Chicken + Pesto) and tasted great. But price was bit too steep for the size. ($14) Somewhere around $10 would have made more sense. Pumpkin Cake slice was excellent. ($7) I will be back for more.

I had a very disappointing experience at this place and unfortunately cannot recommend it.
First, the menu does not specify that lunch is only served Monday through Friday and not on weekends. I had originally wanted to order the Cuban Blonde Sandwich (with pulled chicken, not pork) but was told this was not available on the weekend. I then tried to choose something healthier and went with the option of fruit with spinach quiche instead.
The cashier told me I could sit wherever I liked while waiting for my order to be packed to-go. I sat right in front of the counter and waited for over 30 minutes, watching as multiple people who arrived after me (both dine-in and carry-out) received their orders before mine.
Finally, I had to ask one of the servers how much longer my food would take. She asked me to repeat my order, then said it would be ready in two minutes. A few minutes later, they brought me the cinnamon roll I had ordered correctly—but instead of the fruit with quiche, they gave me biscuits and gravy, something I did not order and cannot eat.
At that point, after already waiting half an hour, I was not going to wait another 15 minutes or more for them to fix the mistake.

I’m usually not one to leave online reviews due to lack of time, but for this place I’ll make the time. We went in our first time here and the staff was so friendly and sweet. The food was amazing and when I say amazing I mean amazing. Their bread is to die for and anyone who’s had crappy dry hole filled gluten free bread knows that’s a miracle in itself. We tried just about half the menu. It’s also nice to have a 100% gluten free place to feel safe to eat and especially enjoy baked goods. It was also super clean. I wish we had one in our area as this is 1.5 hrs from us, but we will make the drive again for this great establishment.

Okay, I had their biscuits and gravy (which I never in my life have eaten out at a restaurant bc I make them at home) and these were delicious. I also ordered the cinnamon roll and oh it was so good. The food here is so yummy and im so glad we have a fully GF place. I cannot wait to try lunch.
Edit: i tried lunch and oh, it was so good. I had the Cuban Sandwich, which ive never had before but yummy. Would recommend!!
Edit 2: I was able to get some Valentine’s Day treats and they are delicious!!!! Strawberry, vanilla, and chocolate! Once again, highly recommend! Not a regular menu item, they do special items.

Was in the area for a concert with my husband and we both wish so much that this place existed in our area! We have never had a better gluten free sandwich anywhere, most places that have a gluten free bread option are usually really small and thin but not this place. Their bread is thick and spongy, honestly better than wheat bread imo. Their coffee and pastries are also good as well as their breakfast sandwich (we went there twice during our stay), the GF biscuit was just as good as a normal biscuit if not better. We will definitely stop by this place again anytime we happen to travel this way going forward.

Hands down one of the best chicken salad sandwiches I’ve had! Bread is fluffy and the filling was filled with juicy chicken that was flavored well with the mayonnaise and celery. There’s only one on my picture because I had already ate the other one. This cafe is 100% gluten-free with some vegan/dairy-free options. I got the pumpkin spice latte with oat milk that felt like fall in cup. My husband also said the black coffee here is great. He says it does not taste like diner coffee at all and it is just a solid good cup of Joe. Service is great and the staff is super nice. ☺️
Overall, I highly recommend this cafe! If I am in town next, I would definitely like to try their baked goods. My husband said it’s located where Stefano’s used to be and that it’s carrying on the legacy of great food at that place.

WOW. My husband is celiac, so I often eat GF when we’re out together. This place is so, so good. The only person who makes better GF biscuits and gravy is my mother, and that’s high praise. The razorback cinnamon roll has maple bacon—a nice touch to make the flavors blend. The banana bread tastes so good, and made us feel very cozy. Lattes: my husband got the Nutty Professor, and I got the Cha-Cha Slide—both 10/10.
I’m lactose intolerant, and I love there are also DF options here if I don’t want to take a lactaid pill.

Went into Brightside Cafe for the first time today. As someone who has become gluten free within the last year, i was so excited to see a 100% gluten free establishment. I ordered the breakfast biscuit to go and it was buttery, flaky, not super dense (like most gf breads can be) and delicious. Their cinnamon rolls looked amazing so I’ll be sure to get that next time. (Note: the entire place smelled amazing!!!)

I am a recently diagnosed celiac, and received this restaurant recommendation early on- I was nervous the food couldn’t hold up to the raving reviews- but it was AMAZING! The lemon blueberry muffin was one of the best muffins I’ve ever had, including those WITH gluten. It was one of the best pick me ups I could’ve asked for while navigating my new diagnosis. I also got the Cuban sandwich, and the bread was delicious- it was so nice to feel “normal,” getting a sandwich and chips with zero fear of gluten contamination. Thank you!!! I will be coming back many, many times in the future!
