Sorry to say that the only food we took a picture of was the wings, everything else we ate way too fast to stop and take a photo.
This was the best decision we had made in a while on restaurant choices.
We were greeted by a warm smile and a big “Welcome” by the man managing the bar as we entered. We took a seat at the bar and ordered our food. We were quickly served up the best BLT that I’ve had in a very long time. The thick bacon extended out at least two inches on each side. Thick slices of tomatoes and a bed of lettuce all sandwiched in big toasted bread made this BLT the best ever. My wife ordered a hamburger, and she reported that it was out of sight good. The french fries! Another great story. Simply exellent.
As we sat there and ate ,the locals started pouring in. The bartender knew them all, and he greeted each of them by name. By the time we left, the place was starting to fill up, and it was still early.
If we lived here, I would quickly adopt Boondocks Bar & Grill as one of my goto places when I was ready to dine out.
Many thanks for the warm hospitality and great food.
UPDATE Feb 2025:
After a three year absence we’ve returned to Boondocks B&G for lunch after a day of sledding. This place delights and delivers just as ever. The food and service did not disappoint. Jayme was our server (see photo). Imagine our excitement as she presented multiple pairs of plump Boonie Balls. Believe the menu: when you bite into them the gooey goodness spurts into your mouth bringing a blast of flavor. However, as with any meal, you can’t get overly excited when you THINK you are going to be treated to a complete huge package. In this case, the mozzarella sticks didn’t measure up. We couldn’t avoid snickering at the smaller than average sticks. The lady eating with us said, “It’s not the size of the stick it’s the flavor” but us guys all felt that when paired with such big juicy balls, the cheese sticks could have used a lot more girth and length. Overall, Boondocks is a TOP NOTCH place that’s perfect for topping off a great day of sledding. Just Go. You won’t be disappointed.
Holy cow was it busy. Every table was full or on reserve. Our bar maid had to set up a special table on the patio for our group of five.
This was one hour before bingo started!
We had many very good and very cold drinks.
All of the money prizes were at least $140.00.
I was a winner but, just my luck, there was another winner. We split the prize.
The bingo lady kept announcing that this was their largest crowd ever. And thanked us for coming.
