My wife and I stumbled upon Curry & Grill Galveston and so glad we did! Some of the best Indian food we’ve ever had. We had the butter chicken and the vegetarian korma, along with the Gobi 65 appetizer. It was all delicious…the spice/flavor/texture was perfect. having the butter chicken and korma long with their well-prepared Naan and rice was a great combo. For us, this is class Houston / Galveston area dining…the place is in a gas station! Most gas stations around Houston have Mexican food or a Subway, but we wish they all had Curry & Grill in them! Note that even though it’s a gas station there was nice seating (three tables for 4) inside as well as a very cool dock in the back with a few tables directly on the water. We ate inside only because it was a very windy night…but look forward to going back there and eating on the dock in nicer weather. We go to Galveston a few times a year and we for sure eating here again. Highly recommend! Attached photo of view from outdoor seating area, and also one pick of my plate.

Satish made our visit memorable! Food came quick and hot. His recommendations for what we should have this time were fantastic. Food was flavorful, fresh, spiced well and completely agreeable. Can’t wait to come back soon.

We went to Galveston for a stay and were looking for a delicious dinner option. Ended up at Curry & Grill. We were super delighted to find a halal food option 10 ins from our hotel. We ordered goat & shrimp biryani(super tasty) shrimp masala (flavorful), chicken tikka masala (delicious) white rice and butter naan along with Chai (tea) everything was flavorful, portion size was shareable. They have an amazing seating at the back by the water. We had an amazing time. Will go back for more.

When traveling, we are always looking for places with vegan options. The Curry & Grill Galveston has 4 dishes to choose from—which is much more than other places—and as a curry lover, I wanted to check it out. I underestimated how spicy Indian food is, and that’s my bad, but the medium spice was far too spicy for me. Apparently I cannot handle it. I thought the spicy aspect was because curry made it spicy (at home, I love to double up on the curry) but curry is not what makes it hot. What I could taste was good but my mouth was on fire so that part is up in the air.
When we first arrived, I noticed it was in the gas station, and I was very hesitant to go inside and order food. Even though the food was very spicy, I’m glad that that didn’t hold me back from going inside.
Currently, it is very cold and while we could have eaten there, that would’ve been very uncomfortable in our food would’ve gotten cold quickly because the only places they have to eat are outside. That said, the dock would be a really nice place to have lunch or dinner during the spring or fall.

Coming from a guy who has never cared for Indian food, I was thoroughly impressed with food here. The goat curry wasn’t overly seasoned or too spicy and was very tender and flavorful. The grilled fish was absolutely amazing and full of flavor. And the ambience was beautiful.

How? HOW IS THIS FOOD SO DELICIOUS?! The lamb bryani is mouthwatering. The chicken? Spicey and tender. The goat soup… THE WHAT? YES! I’ve never eaten such yummy Indian food. Trying new food here is such a pleasant surprise. They even have a back deck with lo-key waterfront dining.
I was Blown Away!
Affordable. Quick.
I will be going back, mos def.

The placement of this restaurant was very interesting. At first my wife said no way are we eating at a gas station, but we went in to check it out anyway. We are plant based, so options are always limited when traveling. It was great to see they had a few options for us. Food was surprisingly good for what you might expect walking in and seeing the place. It has a cool little seating area out back off the water, but was too cold for the time we were there. The food was very spicy! I bit too much in my opinion and would have liked to enjoy the taste more rather than just a burning mouth. Great service.

Excellent food quality and service. Must try their goat soup, chicken and mutton biryani. Enjoy the beach view while having your food. Prices are reasonable. Host is very friendly. Top rated food joint.

I ordered takeout from this place and it was a great experience. I got the veg curry with mild spice—perfectly gentle and flavorful, ideal for elders or anyone who prefers a mellow heat. The portion size was generous, and the price felt fair for the quality.
The meal started with a complimentary Indian tea, which was a lovely surprise and genuinely delicious. Staff were friendly and quick with the order, which made the whole experience smooth.
Even though I took the food to go, I spent a few minutes outside—the ambiance is peaceful and perfect for catching the sunset. Just watch out for the seagulls if you’re eating outdoors!

My wife deserves a good meal. And I did good. Very proud of myself. The food was absolutely delicious. And cooked perfectly. The service was very friendly. And this is not an eat in establishment, but there are some nice picnic tables outback on the dock. If I lived here, I would eat here weekly. I’m sure. The prices are reasonable. And this restaurant has my recommendation. Also, the portions are generous. And my wife and I split the meal easily.
