Naples, FL TripleD #135
Brined Skirt Steak rubbed in Pastrami spices then smoked over oak served with whole grain mustard, pickle relish cabbage and Swiss cheese on a thick cut rye bread…..a perfect combination!
The smokiness of the meat comes through and the whole grain mustard is the kicker! Rivals anything I’ve ever had in sandwich form and we’ll definitely bookmark for a repeat visit to sample more of their local fare.
Casey was a pleasure to speak with as we discussed the TripleD places in the area…definitely a great spot to stop in while in the Naples area!
Got a Cobb salad, bottle of beer, and a meat eaters pizza, and I couldn’t finish.
Nice place with indoor and outdoor seating. The food is carefully, and well prepared.
Highly recommended.
Nestled in the heart of the community, The Local lives up to its name by celebrating the bounty of nearby farms with a menu that’s both inventive and comforting. From the moment you walk in, the warm ambiance and commitment to fresh, seasonal ingredients set the tone for a memorable dining experience.
I began my meal with the poblano pumpkin soup, a bold and unexpected starter that delivered a delightful burst of flavor. The smoky heat of the poblano paired beautifully with the earthy sweetness of pumpkin, creating a velvety, complex soup that was both warming and refreshing.
Next came a peppery arugula salad, a crisp and vibrant complement to the soup. Lightly dressed and topped with local accents, it was a perfect palate cleanser before the main course.
For the entrée, I chose the pulled pork served over homemade gnocchi. The pork was tender and rich, clearly slow-cooked to perfection, and the gnocchi—pillowy and fresh—soaked up the savory juices like a dream. It was a comforting dish elevated by its simplicity and quality.
Dessert was a showstopper: banana bread drizzled with chocolate caramel. This sweet finale was a cornucopia of flavor—moist, decadent, and beautifully balanced. The drizzle added just the right touch of indulgence without overwhelming the banana’s natural sweetness.
Whether you’re stopping in for lunch or indulging in their dinner specials, The Local offers a culinary experience that’s rooted in authenticity and flavor. It’s a must-visit for anyone who appreciates thoughtfully prepared food with a local touch.
Thanks Casey for a great dinner experience.
Expect a wait when you see this sign. It takes time to put meals together when nothing is prepackaged. Even the craft cocktails can take 3-5 minutes, so for a 4-top please just have patience. You’ll enjoy it when it reaches your table.
Fresh for your enjoyment. We had the bean Soup and a burger. Both were quite tasty.
Large groups seated nearby had plenty of entree options to choose from and share with each other.
Deserts were offered, but we declined.
Not many tables, it might hold 70 people total.
We got there late, no problem getting a seat, service was slow, but wasn’t a problem for us. I think they were short-handed, what’s new? That’s everywhere you go.
Suggestion, don’t try this place for dinner & a show night, cause I don’t think choosing this place you’d make the show. I feel spending time here would be at least 2 1/2 hours.
Very charming inside
Other photos show the Shrimp Bruschetta and Pork Tenderloin, both very good!
Our meals were extraordinary, made with some of the cleanest ingredients available. And menu items can be customized and made gluten-free.
Our server KC was friendly, knowledgeable, and spent just the right amount of time with our table of six.
The ambiance, from walls to music, is so comfortable.
I could dote on every aspect of this place. Instead, I’ll attach photos of our meals and desserts.
Please visit The Local!
