We got the Hibachi chicken. The chicken was slightly over cooked, not alot of flavor.
The veges were good, but the fried rice was bland. Eggs rolls very good.
Portions are generous but wish everything had more flavor .
May try one more time.

First time ordering from Koto Hibachi in Cameron, NC and definitely the last time. I have never had terrible nasty Japanese food until now. I had the Hibachi steak and shrimp. I don’t know what kind of meat that was but it definitely wasn’t beef steak! It tasted like liver and the texture was like trying to chew through pure “gristle”. I thought maybe I got a bad batch, but my husband’s food was just as nasty. The chicken plates were also nasty. No flavor at all. The spicy tuna roll had no flavor. I ordered for 7 people and no one, No one ate their food. It was horrible. I wish I would have taken a picture because the “steak” had an unusual slimy gloss to it. Stay away.

First and last time trying this place… The Volcano Roll was ok but the California Roll fell apart, every slice. The Steam Gyoza was cold and the”ruffles” were hard. The Steak Yaki Udon was just flat out nasty. One bite of steak with no flavor or sauce and the udon noodles were so over cooked they were just mush. 8/10 do not recommend. This is why I don’t like trying different places than my usual lol definitely not worth the money.

Called in my order at 720. Got told 10-20 minutes. Showed up at 735. Didn’t get my food until 750. It’s almost like they waited to start my order until I got there and paid. If tha is an issue, how about to take the payment over the phone.

They just opened yesterday and I am shamelessly going back for the third time. FYI this is not an open hibachi grill set up. It’s a small quaint restaurant. Hibachi is prepared in the back. I love sushi and I am so excited for there to be quality sushi in Cameron. I ordered Hand rolls and a Poke bowl. Fantastic. Looking forward to trying other menu items.The staff is friendly.

Walked in and wasn’t greeted AT ALL as if I never walked into this establishment…although there was no one in the restaurant…nonetheless I ordered and realized i was charged roughly $1.50 per basic sushi roll (California Roll) that was roughly the size of a nickel (no exaggeration) i ask for a sauce to go with my over priced sushi and the cashier decides to say sure no problem we charge $0.50 per sauce. Like wait what…the least they could do after a customer spends roughly $1.50 for a bite of rice and veggies is provide the sauce…long story short please do not waste your time and efforts going to a place that one, doesn’t even recognize their customers and two, over charge customers for everything they provide. I’m actually shocked they didn’t charge me for seating while i waited for my sushi. This restaurant only cares about one thing and that is the green in your pocket that makes their green grow even faster and it’s quite obvious. I have had better tasting sushi for alot less in the area with free sauce because I was a paying customer but I digress!

My husband and I ate here because we were looking to get sushi. We could not finish it. We took one bite of each thing we ordered and left because it was horrible. The sushi was so warm and looked nothing like the pictures. It tasted like it had been sitting. I also got food poisoning the very next day. Do not recommend

I’ve been eaten a few times here and each time it is good, some of the rolls I was expecting to be bigger than what they were but they’re great none the less. I love the interior of the place and glad to have a good place nearby!
