This place was tasty, but aspects of it were left to be desired. The pit beef sandwich was dry, but if you ask for horseradish sauce and add some malt vinegar it really helps make the sandwich stand out. The large portions were also great! The pulled beef sandwich was also pretty good, but the portion was rather small on it. Also the beans and coleslaw were really good, overall enjoyed the vibe but thought the food could be less dry.

My family grabbed takeaway from here tonight. We enjoyed the fish sandwich and Southern Beef BBQ. Crabby fries were also very good. The total check was $62 (with 2 coupons). To feed our family of four with inflation, the Red Run Grill is a reasonably priced “quick” bite. We spend $80 to eat at Chipotle or Jersey Mikes, so for the price we would grab this again for a special treat. Customer service also super nice!

Stopped by on my way from Emmitsburg to Hagerstown. You’ve heard the expression , “you get what you paid for”, well that explains the smoked turkey sandwich, it was truly the worst I’ve ever had, it was the cheapest quality of turkey I’ve ever tasted, could’ve been bologna. They only got 2 stars cause the lettuce, tomatoes and bun were fresh, service was quick and efficient. First and last time here.

Nice serving of protein, bun was okay, onions sliced way too thick & not enough of them (then again I didnt ask for extra either) no hint of “pit” in the pit beef to me. Did not smell charcoal or wood in the parking lot or see an outdoor pit.
All well done? Was not asked if I wanted medium. Nice stack of meat but was dry.
Did enjoy the beans, picked up more smoke in them than the protein.
Friendly employees, clean parking lot, clean eating area and serving area. Nice family owned restaurant, people enjoy it looks like. Was busy when I came in.
Place does not have “BBQ” in the name, does say grill so the beef sandwich was about what I expected.

I cant say enough, and I wish I could give more than 5 stars. This place is absolutely amazing. From the service to the food literally everything is top notch. I cant wait to come back and try more.
I had the Carolina pulled pork and crabby fries.

Everyone was super friendly! The space is cozy, comfortable, and clean. Food came out fast and fresh! Crabby fries are amazing, southern bbq beef was fantastic and so juicy! I would personally give the Mac n cheese a 4/5, but that’s due to personal preference. It was still very good! I’m so sad we don’t have one of these back home. Definitely recommend!

I remember this place being a lot better in terms of food. Both of hubs sandwiches were dry like they overcooked the meat. He was left a bit hungry too so we had to find something else.
My sandwich was decent, fries were good. But it’s definitely not like I remember. It’s not terrible, just mid.

I am new & just moved to the area. I received a coupon sheet. I was driving back from my daughter having a baby 2 hrs and noticed this coupon in my car. It was a 4.99. Small meal which I double for 9.98. As I was talking and excited to try this new restaurant. The manager “ I am assuming”. jumped in between my conversation with the cashier and myself as he offered to cut the coupons.and I wanted to ad a Crab sauce. As well to my orders. And said. “SIR. These coupons are expired. I won’t accept them for purchase. You can’t use them, have a good day. I’m sorry” . And a turned away. While pointed at the date which I can’t see that print with the tap of “her pen”. I went and spent $20 at Hardee’s. I had there coupons. I used them twice. And they let me keep them so I could use them again. How nice. Even though Hardee’s was more expensive. They treated me fantistic. It’s not about the money. The coupon made my “mind want to try the place. “ but she just kicked me out and interrupted my conversation and ordered me and the cashier around like we were both dumb kids. The cashier was great! I order all catered lunches for over $105,000 a year for my work/company. I will never give this company my business or my company’s business. My 305 employees will never be catered by a business that cares about them saving two dollars on a coupon that I don’t know and the cashier didn’t know it was expired. She didn’t even apologize first and tell the money difference so I could keep my order going. She treated me like I was unwelcome. I left the restaurant and apologized with my head down when she bullied her way in over a first time order and customer. I never even got to try the food unfortunately, I don’t care about the money or the coupon. When someone is eating and has the money, which I clearly did. Just make me feel welcome. I can’t read the fine print. I wasn’t going to argue with her. But I just got the coupons recently. I didn’t have my glasses. Even though she clearly wanted me out of her restaurant. I got the feeling like she owned the place. So she can do whatever she wants

I suggest that you put baked potato on your menue. It would be nice if there was a choice of barbecue sauce at each table. We prefer sweet which was not available. God bless and you and your business.
