The lemon pepper seasoning is AMAZING! However, I called in my orders and still had to wait after arriving after the 20 minutes that they tell me it’ll be. The food is good though and that’s the only reason why I’m willing to return.

GJs chicken gives pretty awesome service. They have a lemon pepper seasoning that I havent tasted before and absolutely love. That is one of the reasons I go there. Their chicken wings do vary in the way they are cooked but on their best day, they are awesome. I also eat the catfish which is pretty darn good. I am not a fish person. I suppose the only reason their food comes out different every now and then is because they are super busy and I dont specifically order it a certain way. Also because of their efficiency in order taking and cooking, I dont complain. I eat whatever I get haha. I initially bought food here because they accept EBT but I have purchased as well with credit card because I know I can count on their great service. Thanks. Lastly their prices are very fair. A great selection of sides too.

The fish was wet… the batter was too thick. Idk if I just got a bad batch of wings but they needed to be fried a little longer. My friend likes them so much that’s why I tried them out. But she goes to the other location. I was disappointed.

This place is terrible from the appearance to the service on down to the food (I did only have fried chicken…but that was enough), I don’t know who wrote those good reviews but I doubt they actually ate the food. I just have one question for everyone, what do middle easterners know about soul food?

I love GJ’s!! My family and I eat here at least once a week. They also accept EBT which is helpful. When they tell you 20 minutes and your food will be ready, wait a extra 10 minutes because they guess-timate LOL

WARNING ABOUT THIS RESTAURANT!! DONT EAT THE “CATFISH” Its NOT catfish and will make you sick if your not used to eating fish from unregulated fisheries..the following is the complaint of what happened to me after ordering with doordash…..please if someone can refund my momey from gj’s fish. i ordered catfish and waited an hour for it to come. i took a bite of it and started to feel sweat on my forehead and nauseous.I realized it wasnt catfish. after calling the restarant they say its called swai.after researching online i find out swai isnt catfish but a cousin of catfish imported from another country! This is very misleading.I spent $15.72 for fish I cant eat.Tipped the driver and paid delivery fees of $2.99!After calling the store for a refund i was told to come in for a refund which im working a 12 hour shift and cant leave until 8pm. The store closes at 7. I ask for the managers name and he tells me his name is mohammad ali eventhough he sounds caucasian. I informed him I dont get off till 8pm and he said come tomorrow. i asked would he be there tomorrow his response was “i dont know”. I said so your a manager and you dont know your own schedule? He also said Id have to bring the food with me which to me implies he dosent believe me or thinks Im trying to get over meanwhile im sitting at work with nothing to eat. This situation has me feeling like Ive been robbed. I will be calling the better buisness bureau. The following is information ive found about this fish. Me feeling cold sweats and nauseous probably has alot to do with the fact this fish comes out of water which could be contaminated!!! I am also going to call the health department and food and drug administration. As im writing this im still feeling sick and bad. Please refund my $$$.I suggest you take gj’s off doordash. They arent safe!

Don’t let looks fool you! This place has the best fried chicken in a 20 mile radius. You have to take it home though they don’t have tables to eat there.
